If Ashley ever decided to be apart of another Disney production, I think she'd make a splendid Ariel! She has the wonderous enthusiasim, the physical appearence, comedic timing and the vocal training to bring the character to life. I agree that her voice has a beauty that comes from her classical training. I think this is my favorite recent interpretaion of this song right next to Sierra's. Lovely job!

She played Belle in Beauty and the Beast on Broadway, originated the role of Mary Poppins on Broadway, and is about to begin the Mary Poppins National Tour :) She is phenomenal! I suggest looking up her version of "A Change in me Me" from Beauty and the Beast that she recently did in a London concert :) Amazing!

i disagree...sierra's is much more bouncy.

Ashley's is much more refined, almost more operatic in ways. as she is more classically trained. Ashley acts more through her voice, she conveys a lot of action through her tone while Sierra goes for the big notes and is more of a physical actress.

I love them both though.

Let me say this: being a dye-hard Arielholic, I'm VERY picky about who sings for Ariel and I have to say, Ashley Brown does an EXCELLENT job!!!! :) While no one can EVER take Jodi Benson's place in my heart, Ashley comes remarkable close to her greatness. I really wish Disney had casted her Ariel and had her record the demo instead of Kerry Butler. Oh, by the way Kram, can you please do a version of "Kiss the Girl" from the version of the song on the "On the Record" cd please? Thanks. :)
