I liked this song ever since I first heard it in the early 90's. But, the name isn't Jehovah. That is a mistake. There was no J in Greek, Hebrew, Aramaic, or Latin. The name is Yahuwah. Kenneth Copeland could sing about Yahuwah Yireh though and that would be awesome! When we sing Hallelu-yah it means Praise to Yah not praise to Jeh.

@godblest2004 I know it is Yahuwah because if you look at the word for Judah in Hebrew it is Yahuwdah (Yod, Hey, Waw, Hey, Dalet, Hey) Same spelling for the Name except for the D (dalet). Some scholars think it is Yahweh but the Waw isn't pronounced with the W sound in other prominent words. Just like in the word JerUWsalem or HallelUWyah. For the first part of the name Ya you can get an easy confirmation on that by looking up the current name Yael in a Jerusalem phone book. Yod is Ya.

I've enjoyed this song for many years, even though sung by one of the "name it and claim it" crowd that I stand directly opposed to because of their perversion of so much of what scripture speaks of in this regard. Doesn't take away from many of the names of our great God, our Provider, our Stay, our Redeemer, etc.

@tigerlilly66 Christ is not a "high" to be had. Christianity is not a self-help or fix-it and go kind of commodity that can be purchased. If that is your idea of Christ then your idea is much, much, much too low of Him and is in fact totally unworthy of Him. Christ does not exist as a means of self-fulfillment, self-actualization or anything else. Christ is above that. Christ is GOD. Christ will be worshiped as GOD and not something less that is unworthy of Him. Think about it please.

I want you all to think about something. We need to be praying for Jesus to give people repentance. Look up repentance in a Strong's concordance. It is a noun, and only God can give it. It means compunction, which means a sharp feeling of regret. Based on that feeling, we then repent, and Jesus gives us the strength through the Holy Spirit to turn away from sins.
Our slandering of people will never change their hearts or minds. Only prayer.

Prophets have been called by God to speak for Him and to be His messenger. God speaks to these men who are commanded to reveal to mankind His plan of salvation, His will, His character, and His truth. A prophet testifies of Jesus Christ as the Son of God, that He died for our sins, they preach of repentance, condemnation, judgment, sin, and eternal torment. These are the things that prophets of God do, but that Kenneth Copeland as a false prophet does not.

@janoonan1 Your argument is contrary to scripture, I speak of spiritual laws. The secular world would not understand false religious beliefs that subscribes to the notion that God provides material prosperity for those He favors and that they will be materially successful via divine intervention. Nor would they grasp the metaphysical expectation that God will act in obedience to certain cosmic laws to bring about earthly riches through the use of cosmic incantation that Copeland subscribes too.

Second, in 1Cor. 15:46 it mandates "that it [was] not first which is spiritual, but that which is natural; and afterward that which is spiritual." As to materially success, try growing an apple tree without apple seeds!
@janoonan1 Your assertion is without merit, man with the assistance of the Holy Spirit, is able to hear God's words and proclaim His judgments righteously by testing the spirit to see if it is from God and His Word the bible. Although God alone is the Judge of all, this does not mean that only God can judge, God does enable man to judge righteously, He commands man to judge righteously, and He is pleased with those who seek to judge righteously.

@janoonan1 The belief that Christians can speak physical realities into existence as long as the believer exercises enough faith to convey his or her verbal confession that Copeland teaches is deceptive. There is nothing that is positively confessed by faith whether it is verbalized or not, that shall come to pass unless it is God’s will. This false confession of faith is thought actualization, which gives words and thoughts power to verbally produce results based on the use of spiritual laws.

The scripture you quoted you have taken out of context. If you were to read the whole passage it is referring to the Kings and Priests of Israel as anointed ones, as well as the entire nation of Israel. The word touch in the Old Testament in Hebrew was naga which meant to beat, or to physically harm any believer. It does not mean that we are not to criticize doctrine or to not publicly rebuke others false teachings and practices.It means that we are not to physically harm any believer of Christ.
Those "friendly fire" Christians who get indigestion from meat should stick with the milk. Kenneth Copeland was sent to the greatest of unbelievers. I don't want to face God one day and try to explain where I get off being a hand who tells the foot, "I don't need you". Brother Copeland is definitely NOT one of those "itchy ears" preachers (i.e. he doesn't always say what WE want to hear).

wealth is not based on chance. For God's children, we have a covenant with Almighty God; He is our Source and He is able to bless. Glory :) It's a great and mighty covenant that comes through the blood of the Lamb. The prosperity gospel is the gospel of Jesus Christ. Look up "prosperity" in Hebrew. It means "nothing missing nothing broken" i.e. Shalom. God says hundreds of times in scripture that He is the God of our Shalom (prosperity). That's our covenant baby! ^_^
Christ said he was God time and time again. Christ who is the spoken word of God the Father is Called Everlasting Father, Prince of peace in one scripture alone Isaiah 9:6. I received the baptism of the Holy Spirit on January 1, 1980 in my own bedroom all alone. I am celebrating 30 years of being filled. I received Jesus as a child in 1971, but it wasn't until I met the Copelands that my spiritual walk took off. That was right after I received the Holy Spirit. Yes, I struggled and fell down, but I kept getting back up. Thank you, Jesus. I remember when this song was brand new. It is so anointed.

Seed Faith is one heresy. Another is that when you give, do not give to poor people because that's sowing on bad soil. Another is teaching others to give to his ministry because it's "hot" soil when the bible teaches that those who give to the rich shall surely want. Obviously you have not spent much time in either the Bible or in KCM conventions. The Bible clearly teaches faith as a seed. As for giving to the poor, KCM was one of the first ministries in Haiti to give and serve. If you think Haitians are rich, you are needing some tender loving care yourself. As for heresy, it is typical that a heretic will not respect the Bible, and thus not capitalize it. You are apparently a heretic yourself for not giving attention to the Bible and its teachings.
Why are you so angry? I am not judging you. I quoted a scripture about judging others. I said Kenneth Copeland will stand accountable before God. My friend and her husband just spent a very lonely Christmas. Their daughter (and only child) has bought into Kenneth Copeland's prosperity gospel and has completely cut her parents off because they do not share her beliefs. They are afraid they may never see their grandchildren again. And yet their daughter smugly considers herself to be a better Christian than her parents.
God is not like that...too many christians get out of balance...just because we are all at different levels is no excuse for unkindness...Love is the greatest...and finances flow more freely where there is no strife and division..i believe in prosperity but it goes hand in hand with treating people kindly and especially your parents...God will not violate his laws...honor thy mother and father...the first commandment with a promsise...so that daughter needs to wake up and treat her parents right

What more can anyone say to the brainwashed? If you wish to go on supporting Kenneth Copeland and his lavish lifestyle, it's your choice. This is a beautiful song. After reading the comments below, it's obvious the Christian's struggle is a spiritual one, not a physical one. Christians are being attacked. They want to tell us what we can and can't believe. Christians need to WAKE up and start standing up for their faith!

They did their best to let their daughter know that no matter what, they still love her, but that they cannot share in her belief in the prosperity gospel. This is the reason her daughter coldly cut her parents from her life. She is the one who needs a lesson in love and tolerance.

I liked this song ever since I first heard it in the early 90's. But, the name isn't Jehovah. That is a mistake. There was no J in Greek, Hebrew, Aramaic, or Latin. The name is Yahuwah. Kenneth Copeland could sing about Yahuwah Yireh though and that would be awesome! When we sing Hallelu-yah it means Praise to Yah not praise to Jeh.

@godblest2004 I know it is Yahuwah because if you look at the word for Judah in Hebrew it is Yahuwdah (Yod, Hey, Waw, Hey, Dalet, Hey) Same spelling for the Name except for the D (dalet). Some scholars think it is Yahweh but the Waw isn't pronounced with the W sound in other prominent words. Just like in the word JerUWsalem or HallelUWyah. For the first part of the name Ya you can get an easy confirmation on that by looking up the current name Yael in a Jerusalem phone book. Yod is Ya.

I dedicate this song 2 a precious 7 month old baby girl by the name of Thaya who has been diagnosed with an extremely rare cancer called ATRT & she is the ONLY baby known by the drs that has ever had this dreadful cancer!! This cancer that has its hold on little Thaya is at Stage 4....Believers, PLEASE, keep little Thaya & her family in your prayers. She is currently a patient in St. Jude's Children's Hospital. I've enjoyed this song for many years, even though sung by one of the "name it and claim it" crowd that I stand directly opposed to because of their perversion of so much of what scripture speaks of in this regard. Doesn't take away from many of the names of our great God, our Provider, our Stay, our Redeemer, etc.
Faith in Christ is the best high to be had because it doesn't leave you with a head the size of a basketball the next morning, but only peace, love, and joy!

If that is your idea of Christ then your idea is much, much, much too low of Him and is in fact totally unworthy of Him. I want you all to think about something. We need to be praying for Jesus to give people repentance. Look up repentance in a Strong's concordance. It is a noun, and only God can give it. It means compunction, which means a sharp feeling of regret. Based on that feeling, we then repent, and Jesus gives us the strength through the Holy Spirit to turn away from sins.
Our slandering of people will never change their hearts or minds. Only prayer.

A prophet testifies of Jesus Christ as the Son of God, that He died for our sins, they preach of repentance, condemnation, judgment, sin, and eternal torment. These are the things that prophets of God do, but that Kenneth Copeland as a false prophet does not.

@janoonan1 The vanity of men who heed not the truth, for they have become wise in their own eyes, who claim to be followers of Jesus Christ, who claim to be called to speak for God and be His messenger, yet who teach doctrines taught by devils, who declare many false prophecies, as well as announce many false healing, and yet are defended by men. God will speak to the hearts of men concerning delusion and salvation but disobedient men will have no desire to listen.

The truth is, you have no regard for the truth, which means, you are operating in an spirit of rebellion which is a demon spirit. Jesus said, "in my name you will cast out devils!" Even in an Civil Action the Defendant was a right to defend himself, but he can't because your have not properly served him, therefore, you case, issues, etc., would be dismissed!

@janoonan1 Your argument is contrary to scripture, I speak of spiritual laws. The secular world would not understand false religious beliefs that subscribes to the notion that God provides material prosperity for those He favors and that they will be materially successful via divine intervention. Nor would they grasp the metaphysical expectation that God will act in obedience to certain cosmic laws to bring about earthly riches through the use of cosmic incantation that Copeland subscribes too.

@Rylucero First of all, there is no argument. 1Ti 3:16 says it very clearly, "And without controversy". Second, in 1Cor. 15:46 it mandates "that it [was] not first which is spiritual, but that which is natural; and afterward that which is spiritual." As to materially success, try growing an apple tree without apple seeds!

Although God alone is the Judge of all, this does not mean that only God can judge, God does enable man to judge righteously, He commands man to judge righteously, and He is pleased with those who seek to judge righteously.

@janoonan1 The belief that Christians can speak physical realities into existence as long as the believer exercises enough faith to convey his or her verbal confession that Copeland teaches is deceptive. There is nothing that is positively confessed by faith whether it is verbalized or not, that shall come to pass unless it is God’s will. This false confession of faith is thought actualization, which gives words and thoughts power to verbally produce results based on the use of spiritual laws.

@janoon Those who are truly led by the Spirit seek after salvation and truth, not soulish intent, earthly desires, or fleshly indulgences. Many chose to seek after their own spirit which is carnal and earthy in nature, for they have no true faith, for they have rejected God’s righteousness, His word, His redemption and in doing so have rejected Christ himself. We who are called are not to follow these false prophets who have been proven apostate due to their acceptance of these ungodly teaching.

The scripture you quoted you have taken out of context. If you were to read the whole passage it is referring to the Kings and Priests of Israel as anointed ones, as well as the entire nation of Israel. The word touch in the Old Testament in Hebrew was naga which meant to beat, or to physically harm any believer. It does not mean that we are not to criticize doctrine or to not publicly rebuke others false teachings and practices.It means that we are not to physically harm any believer of Christ.

Those "friendly fire" Christians who get indigestion from meat should stick with the milk. Kenneth Copeland was sent to the greatest of unbelievers. I don't want to face God one day and try to explain where I get off being a hand who tells the foot, "I don't need you". Brother Copeland is definitely NOT one of those "itchy ears" preachers (i.e. he doesn't always say what WE want to hear).
Jesus said you will know them by their fruits. Well, I am one of his fruits and God don't make no junk.

You're misquoting Psalm 82, John 10, Ephesians 2, and other areas of Scripture being taught on the righteousness that's ours by faith when He raised us up to sit on His throne by grace so that in the coming ages Father would show us the riches of His grace.

wealth is not based on chance. For God's children, we have a covenant with Almighty God; He is our Source and He is able to bless. Glory :) It's a great and mighty covenant that comes through the blood of the Lamb. The prosperity gospel is the gospel of Jesus Christ. Look up "prosperity" in Hebrew. It means "nothing missing nothing broken" i.e. Shalom. God says hundreds of times in scripture that He is the God of our Shalom (prosperity). That's our covenant baby! ^_^

Christ said he was God time and time again. Christ who is the spoken word of God the Father is Called Everlasting Father, Prince of peace in one scripture alone Isaiah 9:6. Heb. 1:6 is where God the Father himself makes Christ God by telling all of his angels worship Christ. Kenneth is super annointed and legit. If you say you tested his ministry and found it false then the enemy or your heart has mislead you. Christ cares for us more than we do. I fought Christ, made life 10x worse. Dont fight.

I received the baptism of the Holy Spirit on January 1, 1980 in my own bedroom all alone. I am celebrating 30 years of being filled. I received Jesus as a child in 1971, but it wasn't until I met the Copelands that my spiritual walk took off. That was right after I received the Holy Spirit. Yes, I struggled and fell down, but I kept getting back up. Thank you, Jesus. I remember when this song was brand new. It is so anointed.

Seed Faith is one heresy. Another is that when you give, do not give to poor people because that's sowing on bad soil. Another is teaching others to give to his ministry because it's "hot" soil when the bible teaches that those who give to the rich shall surely want. Google Kenneth Copeland heresy and you'll find TONS more...

Obviously you have not spent much time in either the Bible or in KCM conventions. The Bible clearly teaches faith as a seed. As for giving to the poor, KCM was one of the first ministries in Haiti to give and serve. If you think Haitians are rich, you are needing some tender loving care yourself. As for heresy, it is typical that a heretic will not respect the Bible, and thus not capitalize it. You are apparently a heretic yourself for not giving attention to the Bible and its teachings.

You are the one who has judged and i think you are angry everyone does not accept your judgement. Jesus is about love. "Love your neighbor as you love yourself." The words of Jesus. Who is your neighbor? According to Jesus, everyone; and everyone includes Kenneth Copeland whether you like it or not. Practice what Jesus preached, not what you preach.

My friend and her husband just spent a very lonely Christmas. Their daughter (and only child) has bought into Kenneth Copeland's prosperity gospel and has completely cut her parents off because they do not share her beliefs. They are afraid they may never see their grandchildren again. And yet their daughter smugly considers herself to be a better Christian than her parents.

God is not like that...too many christians get out of balance...just because we are all at different levels is no excuse for unkindness...Love is the greatest...and finances flow more freely where there is no strife and division..i believe in prosperity but it goes hand in hand with treating people kindly and especially your parents...God will not violate his laws...honor thy mother and father...the first commandment with a promsise...so that daughter needs to wake up and treat her parents right

Unfortunately, he and others of his ilk are the only ones who have benefitted from the prosperity gospel. We should be suspicious of a gospel that encourages materialism and greed.

This is a beautiful song. After reading the comments below, it's obvious the Christian's struggle is a spiritual one, not a physical one. Christians are being attacked. They want to tell us what we can and can't believe. Christians need to WAKE up and start standing up for their faith!

First of all, the author seemed to be a fan of non-charasmatic ministers and a supporter of homosexuality. So i wonder why this person would WORK for a charasmatic minister as they "said" they did (and then write articles supposedly exposing them)??? Sorry, but that left me unconvinced. I believe Copeland is a man of God, and I believe the Bible and in Word of Faith.

Her parents are very tolerant people who are also very involved in their own church. They did their best to let their daughter know that no matter what, they still love her, but that they cannot share in her belief in the prosperity gospel. This is the reason her daughter coldly cut her parents from her life. She is the one who needs a lesson in love and tolerance.
