  • Alan : hope we can stand up to the heat

Virgil: hope we can stand up to the cold

    That's weird

  • A rescue mission within a rescue mission....

    We must go deeper.

  • Puh, useless Tin Tin! ;-)

  • Mobile computer, hah.

  • does know a video or download soundtrack at 0:32

    If so thank you

  • why didnt they put the beam up to full power in the first place?

  • @thygro1

    The distance still mattered...

  • Is it wrong to think that a sweaty and passed out Scott is really yummy?

Anyway this was always a fave episode of mine.

  • @Sarcasticyetsexygeek Yes but only because I'd rather have Virgil. ;-)

This is one of the best episodes.

  • the thunderbirds transmitter truck is the explosives truck in the end of the road episode just with a different body

  • I love the sun probe episode, but its so complicated i can't get my head round it, even today, what's the concept ?, love this episode though in the top 10 of thunderbirds episodes I love definutly, and i love the sun probe itself :)

  • They've designed a hey-hey-yay-yay-yeah-super-futuristic technologically advanced

rescue organization - - - but can they design cold weather clothing with any kind of fashion sense? NOT A CHANCE!

  • kyrano is awesome!

  • no matter how old you are or how many times you've seen this. this show willl always be filled with susspence action and drama. best show ever :D

  • that would suck, having your oldest AND youngest sons and your best friends daughter all die together :(

  • Let's hope we stand up to the heat....Let's hope we stand up to the cold. XD

  • lol alan scott and tintin have to fight heat and virgil and brains fight against cold

  • the only reason why thunderbird 3 got on a collision course for the sun was because of their stupid 3 hour debate over what to do. i mean come on times like these you need to think fast!!

  • 5:38 ironic, isn't it?

  • Alan: "Let's hope we can all stand up to the heat!"

Virgil: "Let's hope we can stand up to the cold!"

  • Scott: control freak

    Alan: jealousy issues

    Gordon: lazy

    John: reclusive

    Virgil: just right

  • In fairness to John, it was his creator who deemed him to be reclusive.

  • @Bladerunner93 Ha ha, love it!!!

  • This definitely has to be Thunderbird 3's finest hour, saving a space module from a solar disater and endangering itself. It's other outings from The Imposters and Richochet don't really match up to this one.

  • Actually, it's their finest hour because Alan saved someone without giving them a black eye...

  • i never liked the interior of thunderbird 3, it always seemed like they took their time with the other 4 craft and this one was just rushed i also never liked how they entered the craft, thunderbird 3 is still my favourite thunderbird though

  • "Asher, Camp! We're leaving the Sun! We're gonna live!"

That line always makes me tear up a little :')

  • Sunprobe wouldn't be able to go through the earths Atmosphere, the module is cracked, the heat would destroy it!

  • Not quite. If the module was cracked it'dve been exposed to the vacuum of space. The solarnauts would've died before they struck the sun due to explosive decompression of their module.

The cracks and burning are likely the circuits they mentioned catching fire inside the ship. Once they got far enough away from the sun, it's likely they could control it again. But so much for all foreseeable protective measures eh?

  • Alan says he can put tin Tin in a realease capsule , which must be like an escape pod.

But I'm almost certian TB3 HAS no escape pod

  • All we see of TB3 is the cockpit, the radio room, and the rear cabin. Considering how big it is, it could well fit a Denny's restaurant in it and we'd never notice.

So yeah, I'd go with the assumption they have an escape pod. But then there's the question, how'd it get back to earth? =p

  • logical, yeah, but the specs in all the books show that there isnt one.

and TB3 isnt THAT big ;)

  • Yeah, but neither is an escape pod. In some cases, like in Serenity or Stargate SG-1, escape pods are barely bigger than those who inhabit them.

  • oh yeah thats true he should get credit for the investionms of these items lol

  • gerry anderson invented the satellite dish, what an imagination!

  • and also the laptop (mobile computer) lol
