I love the sun probe episode, but its so complicated i can't get my head round it, even today, what's the concept ?, love this episode though in the top 10 of thunderbirds episodes I love definutly, and i love the sun probe itself :)
the only reason why thunderbird 3 got on a collision course for the sun was because of their stupid 3 hour debate over what to do. i mean come on times like these you need to think fast!!
This definitely has to be Thunderbird 3's finest hour, saving a space module from a solar disater and endangering itself. It's other outings from The Imposters and Richochet don't really match up to this one.
i never liked the interior of thunderbird 3, it always seemed like they took their time with the other 4 craft and this one was just rushed i also never liked how they entered the craft, thunderbird 3 is still my favourite thunderbird though
Not quite. If the module was cracked it'dve been exposed to the vacuum of space. The solarnauts would've died before they struck the sun due to explosive decompression of their module.
The cracks and burning are likely the circuits they mentioned catching fire inside the ship. Once they got far enough away from the sun, it's likely they could control it again. But so much for all foreseeable protective measures eh?
All we see of TB3 is the cockpit, the radio room, and the rear cabin. Considering how big it is, it could well fit a Denny's restaurant in it and we'd never notice.
So yeah, I'd go with the assumption they have an escape pod. But then there's the question, how'd it get back to earth? =p
Alan : hope we can stand up to the heat
Virgil: hope we can stand up to the cold
That's weird

They've designed a hey-hey-yay-yay-yeah-super-futuristic technologically advanced
rescue organization - - - but can they design cold weather clothing with any kind of fashion sense? NOT A CHANCE!

Scott: control freak
Alan: jealousy issues
Gordon: lazy
John: reclusive
Virgil: just right

In fairness to John, it was his creator who deemed him to be reclusive.

Sunprobe wouldn't be able to go through the earths Atmosphere, the module is cracked, the heat would destroy it!

Alan says he can put tin Tin in a realease capsule , which must be like an escape pod.
But I'm almost certian TB3 HAS no escape pod

logical, yeah, but the specs in all the books show that there isnt one.
and TB3 isnt THAT big ;)
IonicGell200 2 years ago 3
Yeah, but neither is an escape pod. In some cases, like in Serenity or Stargate SG-1, escape pods are barely bigger than those who inhabit them.
