I've enjoyed reading the threads below. Guys chill out. This game is cool. Come on it's a handheld game. 20 years ago it was atari lynx and game gear and gameboy games I had to put up with. The problem is you compare ALL games to ps3 xbox portal graphics and EVERYTHING else doesn't make the grades then. It's an iPhone not a ps3 game. Arrrrrggghhh

FYI: the touchscreen control scheme is the most accurate one in Rage HD. Gyroscope and tilt schemes require practice and/or debugging.

I'm aware that Rage HD has only 3 levels, not counting the "mirrored" levels, and there's no multiplayer options.

So why can't I stop playing it? Most of the 700MB of the download is used for the justifiably awesome visuals, and even if you were to beat all the levels, you still have Game Center achievements to complete.

This app is bullcrap. I had delete half of my apps just to get it to fit and despite the awesome graphics, when I finally got it, the control were way to difficult to use and it's more like an upgraded arcade shooter than an fps. If you want a good fps for the iPod/iPhone than get N.O.V.A or Modern Combat.

Ya. This is possibly THE BEST shooter game for a mobile device. And i GOT IT FREE!! So pleased. So awesome. Flawless controls. Flawless graphics. Great setting. Get it free while you can. One of my top 10 favorite apps on my device.

Download size has nothing to do w/game length. D/L size is big for Rage HD b/c of the advanced visual content and hi-fi sound files in the code. A game could be 1.5GB and be 5 min long or 1.2MB and give over 500 hrs of gameplay.

@yodude1933 You might find that it's there, but hard to find. Search for 'id games' or 'doom 3' and go to the publisher's page on iTunes, if it's not listed there then it's not in your region (it would be a bit weird if it wasn't though).

Yea. Fun Game, but limited shelf life, unless for those seeking for higher and higher scores. Regardless, 1.99 ( HD ) is a must buy for quality and a must iphone/touch experience.

I hate it when people bash the game because they can't move, I watched reviews and in almost every review they clearly say its a rail shooter which I love, I was hoping they were going to make a carnevil or house of dead port for the ipod which should sell great if marketed correctly.

I believe the reason they didnt make it a free moving fps game, is most likely bcoz the iphone 4 wudnt b able to handle it!!! On rails, the movement is steady and so the frames dont change that fast, hence more frames per second!

this game is ruined in terms of the game not allowing to move by urslelf and not even aim by urslelf, this game has stunning graphics and is ruined due to....im very dissapointed at this game because no other game can beat this when i see the gamplay initially,but when i realised that u cant move or aim by urself, i felt like ive wasted time downloading this......what a bad creator

@mastergsan The HTC Desire HD features more ram, similar processing power (though not underclocked like the A4 chip); however while tests have shown the Adreno 205 chip to be faster than the SGX540 (a chip similar, though newer than the iPhone 4 GPU) it's relatively inconclusive and only a developer would be able to tell for sure. Basically, the potential is there, but I doubt we'd get a firm answer.

i hope everyone knows u can download iphone game ipa files from the internet and click and drag them onto ur app box in itunes to have it sync to ur iphone (jailbroken). you also need to download a sync program but thats easy to find. therefore u dont need to wait 3 days at 75kbs/s to get this game.

The point of the statement is that it takes less time to spend practically nothing and to download it through iTunes than to pick your nose waiting for an illegal copy that takes an eternity to download through spyware filled download sites.

@masterdaddy0 As mentioned in the video there's three levels. Roughly speaking if you don't use the sprint it'll take around 10 minutes per level to clear. The rest of the value is up to how self competitive your are or if you like having something flashy to show off on your iDevice :)

@EzPzLmnSqzy RAGE is coming out for consoles/PCs next year - this game is called 'RAGE' but it's really only one facet from the upcoming title; heck it's not even a full first person shooter, just an on-rails shooter :) Hence getting a 'taste', but not the full game which is out for other consoles (and heck who knows, maybe iDevices) next year

@MagneticLehrak iPad, 4th gen and 3GS - I don't have a 3rd Gen iTouch at the moment to confirm if it would work, but I assume it would if the 3GS is listed. The 3GS is a bit laggier on the HD version, but playable.
