A Stroker kit is an aftermarket assembly that increases the displacement of a reciprocating engine by increasing the travel of the piston (that is, the piston moves further up and/or down in the cylinder).This is done by using a different crankshaft where the crank pin is moved further away from the center of the axis of rotation of the crankshaft. While this increases displacement and torque it can potentially lower the limit to which the motor can rev safely compared to the stock configuration

@monsterGAUZ something like that. It increases the displayment. The m20 would go from 2.5 to 2.7L, you have more hp gain, more torque, cause you can get bigger pistons for it. But if it's worth the money? I don't know, cause it's not cheap! So for that answer you have to try it yourself :)

yepp stock bore n stroke

also standard crankshaft and rods and it holds together just fine was run a few 1000 km that spec and when the engine was opened everything was fine no visible wear in any bearings or so.

BMW has very good quality on their parts so no china crap just bmw std parts :) the car belongs to a guy called robbz google it if you want and se the car theese days ;P

hi all some info on the motor in that car at the time of the filming :)

its a m20b25 with m42 pistons giving it a comp ratio of 7,2:1

cylinder head is ported and a z45 turbo camshaft from enem was fitted,holset hx 55 turbo,autronic smc injection and 1680cc injectors. the engine benched 602,8 hp 756 nm in 2004 i belive it was.

nowdays the car is fitted with an m30b35 well to be honest the whole car and i meen the whole car is a bit extreme these days completely rebuilt in most ways possible

now when i think of it it´s a bit funny when it was dynod it was on std gas 95 octane and still pushed 602hk/756nm :) good old times.but now days alot of ppl have passed that hp by a LOT with more exotic projects and more aftermarket products to help along,but the setup in this movie still is brutal for the e30 when u think of it, the chassie of the car has a limit after all hehe.
