This is a rare clip of War playing life on a TV show in USA.." Della Reese Show" its live and it shows the power of this band that Eric and Lee Oskar joined in LA after the late 60's Eric was always looking in new directions, he was out at a LA jazz club with Lee Oskar the Danish Harmonica Player and they saw this amazing band called "Night Shift" and they got to know the band and what came out of it was "Eric Burdon & War" and they had a sound that nobody could touch.
What a groove, what a beat, what a drive!!! I love it! In my opinion ERIC BURDON DECLARES WAR is one of the best 10 LPs ever made in Blues-Rock'nRoll-Funk-history!!! It's so powerful...
War, Eric Burdon and Jimi Hendrix could have been the greatest band of the early seventees. Too bad that Jimi died the night after he jammed for the first time with these guys... !
You'll never see/hear anything like this anymore, anywhere. Music was pure and magical. I was born in '73 and missed all of the Greats in their prime. At least I've got YouTube.

This song fits also really good in our time, especially in England.

Every once in a while a lamb wanders astray from the flock.
Let us all be shepherds and encourage the lamb back to it's rightful family.
One such member of the flock: Leroy "Lonnie" Jordan has wandered away.
Please make a concerted effort to guide this member back to the family who wants and needs him.
Your voice will be heard.
And Mr. Jordan is truly missed.
I would encourage everyone to support "The LOWRIDER Band" and it's original members.
Support the campaign to reunite them together again.

3:39 of PURE FUNK ! This still kills me ! Don't ever remove this historic document.
WAR and Eric Burdon enjoying their first flush of success.
Again...timeless and priceless.
Everyone bask in their collective genius !
Now everyone should go out and purchase their debut LP or CD - "Eric Burdon Declares WAR" !
And don't hesitate to check back in and let me know what you thought of it.
