  • ROFL I asked my Uncle the same thing and he responded with a scowel and a stern "Let this be my moment." And I just about died. This is the farthest I've heard this song go! I can't find any lyrics on it so I plan on making my own!

  • you forgot the hole in the bog

  • This song is so much fun whilst drunk or when you're camping and it's pissing with rain so you're not in the greatest of moods. It really cheers you up. I learned it in scouts but sadly I don't think many scout groups actually teach it to people.

  • Absolutely love this song.... My mother (Irish born and bread) used to sing this to all of us as kids... Now I'm singing it to my daughters.... Feckin brilliant!

The person singing this is not a true Irish.

If he was it would be a good song.

  • @jjj123comody he is Irish. Irish/American. And you're prejudice.

  • @ALEXRAFFI Yeah.Like I said.Not true Irish.

  • @jjj123comody Agreed.

  • @ALEXRAFFI

Just because we weren't born there doesn't mean we can't be proud of our heritage. Go to any Irish pub in Philly or especially Boston and you'll think you were in Fenit.

  • @ThePa1riot I agree. I'm Hispanic/Italian. And I love Ireland. Hope things get better there economically.

  • @jjj123comody booo u suck+ u try and sing it with an accent

  • @IsAiAhShAvEr Almost all the people in Ireland can sing it with an accent.Fifteen Irish Bands have visited my school, sang that song with a perfect Irish voice.

  • its dosnt sound like the rarrlin bog i got at school and it sounds diffrent

  • @1231Clay Look like you should have payed a little more attention in school.

  • @1231Clay well for one it started off at the tree instead of the hole lol

  • @1231Clay

  • Such a happy mood song!

  • Corries version is better this sounds too poofy

  • in the jam book the on the last thing there is a elephant on it (2010)

  • This is like the song in The Wicker Man, except it's nice and friendly.

  • i like this best

    :)

  • there was no fckin bow on the tree lol, there was a flea on the feather a feather on the wing a wing on the bird a bird in the egg the egg in the nest the nest on a leaf the leaf on the twig the twig on the branch the branch on the tree the tree in the hole and the bog down in the valley oooooo,up the banner county

  • It started off as a song, and ended up as last weeks physics lesson! Still good though =)

  • so good love this song all off the versoins are diffrenit :s???

  • just brutal compared to irish descendants

  • @selkirkswift ...whoops, wrong thumb. yes, this just not the same as the descendants

  • Thanks you made it easy.

  • Best song on earth !

  • can someone send my ltrics for this version

  • @BicycleFanatic89 and in the earth there was a valley, a rare valley, a rattlin' valley oh ho the rattlin valley... :)

  • i can remember this song from 30 yrs ago, a band called Schooler Fare played it in maine. Schooner fare used to play celtic music and did tours thru most of the schools in maine. in the irish descendants version of it, they have added that there is a hole in the bog but in the original version there was no hole as for in this one also

  • I like the build up. I would watch these guys do it in the pub I frequented in Costa Mesa CA. The Harp inn. This version is available.

  • yeah when i sing it it is very fast

  • They sing it too slow.

Its only a fun song when you sing it fast.

  • its hi ho the rattlin bog no

    oh the rattlin bog

  • woo!. upyaboyya!.

  • my grandad tought me this soung on a family holiday. it was round a campfire in southwald. my family has sung that song for generations

  • My fourth grade teacher tought us this song.

  • The original is from Irish decedents ** (SP)

  • Thanks.

  • Its a traditional irish song. Its just sung by a lot of bands because its a good song.

  • i want this song!!! where can u get it??

  • You can always try and download it from torrents, or kazaa, or limewire.. Just look for "Irish Rovers. The Rattlin' Bog" - most popular version

  • yeah, but i want this version, lol. the irish rovers version isn't bad, but this one better :P

  • I see, it's a longer version.. But you can always download this video (however I'm not sure HOW it's done, but it can be done, that much is sure)

  • mm indeed. ;P
