The reason Mario disappears for a brief moment is because the video creator was recording this video at a lower fps than the actual game.
For example, if you were recording the video at 30 fps and the game is running at 60 fps, then during times when sprites are blinking, they'll disappear during that time.
The reason why he disappears is because he's blinking rapidly. When you recorded it, it only recorded the frames where he was invisible. It only recorded every other frame or something... <_<

Hmmm, I figured it was something like that. Wonder why it's skipping frames though? Maybe the video settings had the frame skipp to high.
