My 10 year old son and I wear dog tags from a POW/MIA in honor of the sacrifices made by those who HAVE NOT COME HOME.. We thank ALL of our troops. Please remember there are over 38000 unaccounted for just from WWII.

My family have always been big Ray Steven fans even though we do not agree with all his political views. I see no connection with the War for non existing Weapons of Mass Distruction and going after Bin Laden but I admire and Thank every soldier that went to fight in that war or any war we ever participated in, they go and do their job not asking why and many give their lives. I was wounded in combat while serving with the 9th Infantry Division in Vietnam 1968-69. Support for the courage shown by those who place their lives on the line is best expressed (in my opinion) by NOT supporting endless war. America was attacked by a group of mass murdering criminals with religious motivation. No military force can fix that...it can only add to the numbers of people who are willing to die for their religion. International law enforcement is the only way to deal with this.

I believe Ray is right that we need to thank our soldiers, but I don't think war is the answer. I believe Eugene Sledge, a marine who fought on Peleliu and Okinawa said that he thought a country so great should be defended but he hated war. Because when he was in Okinawa and Peleliu he saw what war was. It was the worst humanity could offer each other and he hated it. So yes, thanks to our troops, now, if you please, let's keep them from dying.

My family have always been big Ray Steven fans even though we do not agree with all his political views. I see no connection with the War for non existing Weapons of Mass Distruction and going after Bin Laden but I admire and Thank every soldier that went to fight in that war or any war we ever participated in, they go and do their job not asking why and many give their lives. I love Ray Stevens salute to them in this video and we should all do that no matter what our politics are.........

I am not a vetran, nor am I even a solder. But I know all that I am is because they enabled me to be so. To stand up and defend who you are is hard enough, but to stand up for everyone and for those yet to come is beyond hard.
Is Iraq this decades Vietnam? that is for furture people to say. I know I lived in those days and see parelels , but the solders who went and who go dont have the luxury of knowing which fight will be seen as bad later. they only know they must face the task at hand

My husband is active duty Air Force and I never realized how many people don't support our troops. Our troops are doing a service for us and rather or not we agree with the big Washington politicians should have no bearing on our support of the men and women taking those bullets.

Vietnam and Iraq, which Congress approved due to lies in 1964 about the so-called Gulf of Tonkin Incident (after Eisenhower canceled elections in 1956) and in 2003 about WMD's in Iraq and Iraqi ties to Al-Qaida, weakened the USA and made it less free.

Thank you for this song and video Mr. Stevens, I am the proud mother of an American Soldier, my son has served two tours in Afghanistan. I will be sending him the link to the video. The men and women who serve in our armed forces deserve all the thanks we can give them, yet whether or not they receive it, they will continue to do what they do. I was wounded in combat while serving with the 9th Infantry Division in Vietnam 1968-69. Support for the courage shown by those who place their lives on the line is best expressed (in my opinion) by NOT supporting endless war. America was attacked by a group of mass murdering criminals with religious motivation. No military force can fix that...it can only add to the numbers of people who are willing to die for their religion. International law enforcement is the only way to deal with this.

I don't know how this video can have any dislikes, maybe we should enable the draft for people who don't appreciate their freedoms and make them fight for them. I believe Ray is right that we need to thank our soldiers, but I don't think war is the answer. I believe Eugene Sledge, a marine who fought on Peleliu and Okinawa said that he thought a country so great should be defended but he hated war. Because when he was in Okinawa and Peleliu he saw what war was. It was the worst humanity could offer each other and he hated it. So yes, thanks to our troops, now, if you please, let's keep them from dying.
