I haven't watched much of Thunderf00t, but I noticed this with Pat Condell. I can't comment on his political views, but some of the things he's said (or implied) about Islam are false. Like female genital mutilation... that has no basis in Islam that I can find. Lumping together cultural practices with religious ideology isn't right. I don't like Islam (or religion), but things need to be properly backed with facts. I still enjoy watching Condell though, damn good speaker.

Actually, I was defending Angie. I didn't realise I had a top comment, it's out of context; people were saying Angie mentioned fallacies but didn't name one. So I pointed out one which she does name. I agree with you about "cult tactics". Thunderf00t and pat condell's condescensions and straw-man's/Gish-gallop are some of the reasons I extricated from those two. Some fallacies that have corrupted them.
It would have been helpful if you would have given a few (or at least one) examples of what you claim is "false information" that either of these men give. I know Pat uses emotional arguments and very heated rhetoric to drive home his points – but I am unaware of any factual inaccuracies in any of his videos. I have caught Thunderf00t saying a couple really stupid things on topics he knows little about, but I am unaware of any inaccuracies in anything he's said wrt Islam.

It breaks my heart to see countries like Sweden, for example, that(except for the dark cold winters) were as close to paradise on earth socio-politically, that is, as mankind has ever created. Healthcare, openminded, sexually unrepressed.
Their only mistake was being too open, too liberal, too pc. All of these were part of their charm. They opened their borders to refugees carrying this virus of a religion and now its destroying them from the inside. Rape murder fear repression = Shariah.

I haven't watched much of Thunderf00t, but I noticed this with Pat Condell. I can't comment on his political views, but some of the things he's said (or implied) about Islam are false. Like female genital mutilation... that has no basis in Islam that I can find. Lumping together cultural practices with religious ideology isn't right. I don't like Islam (or religion), but things need to be properly backed with facts. I still enjoy watching Condell though, damn good speaker.

Since I'm not a trained doctor by any stretch, I can't offer too much insight to your "miraculous" ear ache recovery. My untrained guess would be a blister-like growth in the inner ear may have popped.

Actually, I was defending Angie. I didn't realise I had a top comment, it's out of context; people were saying Angie mentioned fallacies but didn't name one. So I pointed out one which she does name. Of course, ad hominem isn't always fallacious, but it can be. It's unfortunate that most of the comment section here has devolved into insults. I agree with you about "cult tactics". Thunderf00t and pat condell's condescensions and straw-man's/Gish-gallop are some of the reasons I extricated from those two. Some fallacies that have corrupted them.

It would have been helpful if you would have given a few (or at least one) examples of what you claim is "false information" that either of these men give. I know Pat uses emotional arguments and very heated rhetoric to drive home his points – but I am unaware of any factual inaccuracies in any of his videos. I have caught Thunderf00t saying a couple really stupid things on topics he knows little about, but I am unaware of any inaccuracies in anything he's said wrt Islam.

I'm in general agreement, there's an irony in that you don't provide specifics. What videos, exactly? What comments, exactly? Make it easy for me to check; you seem more down-to-earth, but who knows?
I do think there's a danger that the dozen or so You Tubers at the top of the heap are gaining celebrity status, when not one is a qualified bible scholar. I'm a part-timer, but I see holes in many videos, and you're right that the absolute best policy is to deal with any problems up-front.
