  • Sean Peck sent me here.

  • I'll admit: I found this song when I watched Wall street: money never sleeps and I was in for a good surprise - the way the end credits where done, where you see them all together at the barbque, coupled with this song along with his other track "home" it took me aback. I was instantly amoured with the songs !

  • 82 people don't know good music if it bit them on the face..... =(

  • I admit, I heard this song at the end of the movie Wall Street. That was one of the best closing credit scenes in a movie, and this song is the reason. And that steady shot of Gecko's office door.. One of my Favorited movies, and 2 of my fave actors. Douglas and Sheen.

  • Hello i'm young and i don't know really know the songs of this period, can you advice me some music i'll like (like this must be the place)?

  • @DoLoliitares Okay, check out some of these... "Land Down Under" by Men At Work, "Wrapped Around Your Finger" by The Police, "Africa" by Toto, "Burning Down the House" also by the Talking Heads... I suggest checking out the "best of" albums by Duran Duran, Thompson Twins, Cyndi Lauper, The Cure, The Police... any 80's kids checking in here will have some good suggestions as well, I'm sure. And you can never go wrong with Bob Marley. Ever. Have fun.

  • @JenniferPresents also "I like chopin" by Spandau ballet..

  • @DoLoliitares - Talking Heads 77, Brian Eno Another Green World, Taking Tiger Mountain, 801 Live, Jerry Harrison Casual Gods, Roxy Music Avalon

  • @DoLoliitares the smiths

  • @DoLoliitares i would add flipper, dead kennedys, replacements, and sonic youth to that mix,

  • @tigereye04 I couldn't agree more with you!

  • @DoLoliitares Try some ah ha ,prince womack, and yeah my mind blank now hahaha enjoy !!

  • @DoLoliitares also, the Cure. Disintegration is one of the best albums ever.

  • What a beauty! Absolutely outstanding song!

  • Thumbs up if Wall street brought you here!

  • I swear sometimes, I'm living in the wrong decade. <3

  • @49lrg which, then, had to be the place!

  • Thumbs up if Wallstreet brought u here

  • @babypiano666 Make that 81 people....

  • @America235yo lame.

  • 80 people were in the wrong place...

  • Beautiful.

  • Greed is good!

  • check out The String Cheese Incident's cover its the reason why i know this song and personally think theirs is better than the original

  • A CLUB CALLED RHONDA: hearing this song at 2 a.m., in the club in 2012, like 2 weeks after discovering it. so fucking incredible. heart-swole vibes

  • WALL STREET :)

  • I listen to this daily. Its like a ritual of mine now. Great song to hear when I'm waking up in the morning. :)

  • wall street sucks.

  • @JenniferPresents Oh no, I know & like both these two, it's just cos they were such resounding flops in the UK at time of release, but because of the group's overly huge acclaimed clout, both songs have been played as if they WERE hits on certain stations in the past, especially Virgin's 80s retro shows, which were always terribly unfair and sexist to other far less lauded but even better (for me) artists, which barely got more than one song played. Also 'Wild Wild Life' good!

  • Sean Penn.... Man... Because of MICHAEL DOUGLAS!

  • Check out Miles Fisher's cover of this song. It's really good.

  • @kenshin82789 It's brilliant!

  • melodia preciosa

  • The birds sent Bretton and I here

  • love it :-)

  • I came here to see if any of their other unknown singles are worth making a selection of for my mp3. I like this one on first listen, very at odds with their biggest hit 'Road To Nowhere' & the top other obvious Top 20 ones I know. Interesting choice for a single, if unrewarding chart-worthy for them.

  • @TheMjblades and psycho killer!

  • Just watched Wall Street (finally) and realised I reckognize the voice of David Byrne from his single "LIke Humans Do" and here I am:)

  • @JenniferPresents :) np <3

  • I hate you people who sit back and criticize where people found music. If you're truly a fan then shouldn't you be happy that new fans are finding the band no matter what means they found it from? stop being d bags.

  • @ericlams Yeah, I agree. I found this song first by an MGMT cover, and I loved the song. But now that I've heard this one, I understand how much better it is. But if it wasn't for that band, who knows when or even if I would've found this song. It's so groovy.

  • @ericlams lol @ 'Truly a fan', you're as bad as the people that are complaining. Get back to watching Glee or whatever it is that tells you what music to like.

  • @ericlams I SALUTE YOU!!

  • @BornOriginal98 <3 :)

  • green = good taste in music

red = lonely fucks who jack off to JB, you know who i'm talking about.

  • People who didn't know the song before the movie came out...Shame on You.

  • @hArbingeRofDumb Why? Don't get me wrong, I've listened to Talking Heads for ages, but I figure that every person that likes good music now the better we all are; doesn't matter how they got here, just that they're here to have a good time and enjoy some great music.

  • Thumbs up if you are here because of the movie with sean penn <3

  • haha..Lisa Hannigan's Xmas diner brought me here :D

  • Is there a better 80's combo than Wall Street & The Talking Heads?

  • Comment removed

  • Whats up with this version? At 2:57 it sounds like someone stepped on a dogs tail. It seems to be only on this one. I thought it was my dog for first few times I listened to this. Am I the only one?

  • good stuff. reminds me of my college days. i don't hafta' curse like a sailor though. my little seven yr. old loves this stuff too and she reads all of the postings.

  • i think that's the first time i've ever heard that song. it was awesome :)

  • do you like New York?

  • dear scientists, one time machine please.

  • @manatualexandru Just find the solution for theory of strings

  • great

  • Wall street is a great movie and without it I'd probably never hear this song again.

  • listen this all time for like a month...it is possible....hell yeah gordon

  • @Danielswish

It is possible. I listened to this day by day, over and over again for 2 months during summer 2 years ago. Even now when I get a bit drunk at parties I go the DJ and ask to play it, then i carry on :D

  • @puk182 aw shucks, kiddo. sounds like you have the bug. we all got it, no worries. there is some okay now, you just have to sort and discover it.

  • and you love me till my heart stops awwwww man and she lifted up her wings guess that this must be the place, huge huge influence for me and still fresh

  • Miles Fisher's version owns this.

  • @JardelDias619 fuck off tool.

  • Great song!

  • @puk182 do something about it.

  • we have plenty of time for live... and this is the most important.

  • @puk182

THE BEST SONG EVER! SIMPLE, BUT HITS ONE IN THE SOUL. I WANT TO WRITE SOMETHING EXACTLY LIKE THIS. BE A FXXXXXXX TIGER.

  • @puk182

  • I feel like a millionare everytime I listen to this! thanks wallstreet!

  • This is possibly the most cheerful song I've ever heard in my entire life. I cannot help but smile my happy ass off the whole time I listen to it.

  • The one & only Talking Heads! Saw them with the Police for $5 at the Ritz in NYC back in the 80's.

  • Comment removed

  • *replace but with not, eff you auto correct.

  • After skimming through comments, I'm genuinely shocked most people only know this tune due to a movie(hand to gawd, didn't know it was used in Wallstreet, perhaps I should get out more) & but because Talking Heads were an amazing, ground breaking influential band. Suppose it's pointless to mention Tom Tom Club.

  • @screams4tina why are you shocked, a lot of these people are young and never heard of 80's and 70's bands. if anything i'm glad video games and movies are getting the younger generation into really good music. so word to all who gives a fuck if you knew this song before people who saw it in a movie/game did? what do you want a cookie

  • @KadaveRRoT i dunno how i got here... can i have a cookie anyway?

  • @KadaveRRoT im 18 and through movies and sometimes tv series i find great "old" music that i tend to like (just wanting to prove your point :)) )

  • @KadaveRRoT

    Exactly

It doesn't matter when young people discover these songs to find out there's so much more choice than the mainstream Gaga and Rihanna poop that TV and internet forces them down their throats

I discovered a lot of cool '60s, 70's and '80s music since i started using the internet as a kid

  • thats the perfect song for remodeling a house

  • I'm in the awesome part of Youtube again...

  • @puk182 - saw the Talking Heads at the San Francisco Civic auditorium in 1984. Great show and I still love their music! I'm going to use this song for one of my music slideshows this year - probably the one showing pics of Albuquerque's Nob Hill district.

  • If I ever have the fortune to fall in love, I want it to be just like this song.

  • Will be there a 3rd One ?

  • Wall Street 1987 :D

  • ^__^ Finally found it; just finished watching Wall street. had to get this :)

  • I feel numb, born with a weak heart. I guess I must be having fun. The less we say about it the better. We make it up as we go along. Feet on the ground, head in the sky. Its okay, I know nothings wrong. Gotta love the lyrics

And you're standing hear beside me, I love the passing of time

    Never for money

    Always for love

Cover up say goodnight . . . say goodnight

  • I finally found this song after jamming to it during the ending credits of Wall Street 2.!!good stuff

  • I don't know why, but this song reminds me of my younger self running around as a little kid in the dirt and chasing butterflies.

  • @JenniferPresents: Me too! : )

  • @puk182 Lol back in the day, when music still had its potent magick flowing into ears..

Evil men in suits came and made music a "product" killing its magickal qualities..

    -

    sob.

  • they should instead play Big time, or new york groove.

  • THe first Wall Street is way better than the second one.

But both have this song so it's all good x]

  • David Byrne comes from my hometown! There's just so much juicy goodness in this track its unreal!

  • i just saw saw wall street one week ago and wall street2 yerterday! the first part is sick i cant believe i hadnt seen them! and i fall in love also with this song!!!!!! i´ll never forget it!

  • reminds me of Hawaii

  • I sure do miss this music. Why doesn't anyone play it anymore?

  • @krrwasser I'm moving house soon and keep thinking of that scene in Wallstreet and this song!

  • @Alexspark005 I'm moving too! This week- in fact I'm procrastinating right now. I hates packing.

  • Talking Heads was a amazing band.

  • @toastinful was?

  • In this movie, it was awesome to watch...... right up front!!

  • Comment removed

  • I came here because of "Lars and the real girl" and "Crazy, Stupid, Love"

  • Awesome tune!

  • @armanyoo I hear you and i can relate. Now we have the "Beaver" Justin. Pathetic, isn't it.

  • "Never for money, always for love"....my life motto!!!

  • @armanyoo

when I seecomments similar tosomething I would post for the 90's, I realise that we all just hate growing up with a passion. It is a guarantee that 21century kids wil be reppin' justin bieber. thanks man. never quite saw it this way.

  • They don't make songs as catchy and laid back as this anymore. Talking Heads were geniuses, and they so unheard of nowadays. It makes me sad, but this song is definitely my favorite.

  • 71 people were arrested for insider trading. Goodbye Charlotte ;)

  • @Taylor666Scott

who is charlotte? trying to figure out what relevance this has lol

  • @canmalfunction Charlotte is Charlie Sheens secretary in the movie Wall Street. After he gets arrested he says goodbye charlotte. and then this song plays at the credits. Awesome

  • #OWS WILL NOW BE TAKING OVER THIS VIDEO AS WELL AS RELATED VIDEOS

  • Heard this song on Wall Street TITLE song (: thanks, Shazam

  • Heard this song on Wall Street(: thanks, SoundHound

  • What a Great Tune

  • This song is my all time fav! I love the happy / sad feeling it gives me, and I never want it to end.

  • Anytime a radio station is going to play Psycho Killer, they should just play this instead...

  • Lars and the Real Girl what a movie check the party scene out
