An opportunic priviledge to visit Wenzel's Perfect World in Manitowoc, Wisconsin today (owned and operated by Jim's brother). Amazing photographic tribute to Jim and 'The Grease Band' (pre Dave Mason daze).
@perdueabq Wow I had no idea he passed away. My guitar player played with bassist Gerald Johnson and we talked about Gerald Mike Finnigan Dave Mason etc and Jim's name came up. I saw him twice with Mason and he was awesome. Mason is a helluva guitarist himself but Jim was definitely the lead guitar. So sorry to hear of his passing. He was a dominant figure onstage, both in looks and guitar prowess.
I would put his playing in a league with Clapton Stevie Ray Hendrix and any top 10er RIP
Jim was amazing... deserves to be mentioned with Hendrix and Clapton... Dave mason, no slouch himself... was in utter amazement at this guys talents... great stuff.. thanks for sharing and keeping Jim's memory alive!
.......... and he finally came home to Manitowoc and formed the Happy Schnapps ...... only goes to show ya, you can never take yourself to seriously ........ RIP, Breother!
I Love this guys playing . its a pitty he didn't get enough recognition when he was alive. Great guitar player & composer!!!Does anyone knows the cause of his death?

Yes indeedy! Many thanks for this. Don't have the URL offhand, but there's also a site that offers mp3s of Jim playing with a Tower Of Power-style funk band that is absolutely amazing. This guy was sucjh a beast...
The song is an instrumental take on "May Be Wrong", as most likely heard , (in '69) on Savoy Browns "Blue Matter" LP. Jims' appreciation for the song really shows through. Thank you, and R.I.P. Jim Krueger, (and Lonesome Dave).
Can anyone tell me if this recording was made with The Grease Band?

I loved Jim's playing in Dave Mason's band. You never knew quite what to expect when he solo'd, IMO a sign of a great player.

That was the Denny Geyer Band. Those links don't work at that site anymore. I'd love to get copies of that stuff.
