For those of us who love Kay Johnson, this was delightful. Maybe someday soon we can see "Dynamite" from 1929.  Another C. B. film with outrageous art deco sets and a wonderful love story. Mr. James Cromwell's mom was one of a kind.

Weird, Oh so weird, what was DeMille thinking of? the party scenes are incredible, the numbers aboard the airship are ridiculous, ...and parachutes? at least the musical numbers make up for some of the very strange storyline..and the acting is very much of the silent era, very overstated. A period curio these days, but well worth watching...once!!

It really is about the strangest of DeMille's films. His silent films have great domestic comedy bits, but he's lost here --- and then he makes up for it with one of the most delirious last-half-hours in movie history.
