it's common as shichi-ji. but both is ok.

on the phone,we often say nana-ji to avoid misunderstand to ichi-ji and shichi-ji.

ごじさんじゅっぷん(in hiragana)、五時三十分(in kanji)、５時３０分(this is a common writing)。
