I love their embrace at the end- he seems genuinely moved, almost collapsed, and she is embracing him and holding him up more than the other way around- followed by a buddy-like handshake and kiss on the hand. Sweet.
@1234ImaginaryLane lol you too. i see him alot although i am quite intimdated by him. Though i have heard he is pretty nice, but i mean how am i going to say hey your mr eisler olympic champion huh? can i have your autograph?
I remember watching this as an 11 year old and the crowd cheering insanely sticks in my mind - amazing how many Canadians were there considering it was in Germany
Just a beautiful and heart rending performance. No team captured the magic of this music until Ina and Zimmerman had their incredible skate (that prob should have won bronze) in 2002).
Since this team, I haven't seen anyone do a triple lateral and a split triple twist! Current teams even have hard time doing a clean triple twist. COP really has hurt originality in programs today.
One of the most amazing moments in Canadian Figure Skating history! Hands down!

Fabulous. Thank you for this complete CBC coverage. I remember watching this live and seeing them win with this beautiful performance.
Note the rare forward outside death spiral at 4:59; I remember Debbi Wilkes saying it was the first one she'd ever seen.
Love Josee jumping up and down at the end! I think the entire country was jumping at the end there!!
Congratulations Fred and Herb.
