Sorry if I offend anyone, but without Ace, KISS is just a silly shell of a band. I've been an Ace fan since 1976. When KISS toured in the 70s, it was always ACE that everyone came to see/hear. Trust me I know this from what my friends were saying, and also overhearing people talking around me at the concerts. We were all their to see ACE. Musically, he made the band metal. Without Ace, KISS is simply a silly pop band.

I REALLY loved Vinnie Vincents guitar work,..and a few other albums had great songs, but without Ace and Peter,..ITS NOT KISS!! Now, add the make-up to the subs (even tho they are good musicians((studio musicians)), and it just makes it a sad sad statement of (probably) Genes disregard for his own bands history. Sounds like a 70's style, but all the blurb says that the new KISS album has a huge sound: big drums, huge guitars and a driving bass sound. The sound here is too thin. Eric Singer wouldn't play like that either, he's way too technical for a straight 4/4 format .. Peter never did that either.This sounds more like someone else's rough demo.
