@davidnalba A game is never ended before it's ended, so one cannot say it's a draw before a draw is achieved and agreed between both players. To avoid players going on forever with a small advantage there is a 50-move rule, if nobody moves a pawn or makes any capture in 50 moves, the game is declared a draw by force.
In the past our teachers were always the grandmasters and worldchampions, nowadays our teachers are the computers. They play , solve and compose . So have a look at youtube.com :
...I agree with you, Alexandra , but only teachers for the PSYCHOLOGY and not for the PURE MATHEMATICS ...since 5 years the elo of chess-computers is growing 100 elo EVERY YEAR and for us is no growing since the last 100 years
( Lasker-Botvinnik-Fischer-Kasparow-Carlsen-always the same strength )
@KanoneUnteralle Yes it would be fine if she had picked up the piece THEN pressed the clock. Pressing the clock indicates the end of the move. She knocked my King then pressed the clock and my clock started going even though I had a piece knocked down by my opponent, that's not allowed.
Nice game Alexandra : ) Your opponent did not seemed pleased with herself after knocking down your king lol. I am now a subscriber to your channel yay. I love that accent of yours : ) keep posting vids for us chess enthusiasts.
anyway kudos to u stefanova is a very strong player she recently came to my country to have a simultaneous game with 55 opponents, she defeated 49 opponents and drew with 6 players.
The six players are all FMs, WFMs, NMs, IMs all the very strong players which include 1 3-time female national champion
anyway stefanova made a very bad mistake at 1:40, allowing white to have a very strong centre, and at 4:53 the knight is superbly placed in the middle and the rook was controlling the open file as well.
At that point black's centre is completely lost. Reminds me of my FM fren's game which I learnt tht the centre is important to defeat the opponent
In playoff tie-breakers, typically armageddon games are used, in which White must win to win the match, but which Black only needs to draw to win the match. White has more time than black for example 5 vs. 4 minutes. Guarantees a championship winner and ends series of draws.
I think Kosteniuk is the best. She walk you through her games in a very nice way. I find her videos are much better than other GM videos. I bought Shirov chessbase video. He is terrible he came unprepared. I definitly recommend her DVDs instead of chessbase
it's nice too see that such a personality like you is also a kind, modest and common person.all my appreciation from romania.keep going miss!see u on youtube!
Nice game, I think 9... O-O 10. axb5 Na5 11. Bc2 exd4 12. Nxd4 Bxd4 13.Rxa5 Bb6 is more aggressive for Black. Anyway, ChessQueen can stop almost all counterattacks in the Ruy Lopez!
Yet again, I am very impressed by this game and the way both of you played it. It is easy to see why a game as simple, and in many other ways as complex, as chess has survived for so long.
Please continue to post more matches, I will keep watching :)
You obviously missed the point of the message judging by your vacuous response. Furthermore, juvenile condensed abbreviations seem to do justice to the extent of your IQ. Yes, I misspelled 'you're'. Happy now?
You know your a real loser going around on all the videos posting, "X player is better than Alexandra" Shut up, she's WWCC and all these people she beats are top players. Just cause you have a low IQ and can't play chess for the life of you, stop being a moron and posting stupid comments to try and validate your place in life.
Great win! That definitely seems to be a sound rule to me. I've seen many videos of blitz games where during the final portion of the game both players are knocking down each others pieces like mad.
A quick note to say Great Game! I also like the rule of knocking down a piece. The hat is very intimadating to you opponent, and furthers your sexy chess persona. Guitarist, Phil Napier
If the game is a draw, and you continue playing to make her lose by time, is that accepted in the chess circle or it is un-ethic?

@Moremover Yes computers can help to train at chess, but they are not our teachers. It's always better to have a real person as a teacher or mentor.

if u knoch down a piece , lift it up again and press the clock it is no problem is it?

In blitz knights are better than bishops? :)
good advice, thx :)
is that because the knights are tricky with forks and such?
Phyle9 2 years ago
Yes in blitz knights are quite tricky! Especially the combination queen + knight in an attack on the king can be deadly!

Stefanova is the stronger player.

You have a right to your opinion, but have a positive score against Stefanova of 2:1 in blitz and 4.5 - 1.5 in classical games :-)

Yes I will be posting many more games very soon.
The match was in two games, and we had 1-1, this third game was a sudden death kind of game, and they did a new drawing of colors.
