Some guys here are making this more horrible that what it actually is.
He is a kid, who had a dream and made it come true. No, I am not a fan of his music but that doesn't mean I am going to hate him, he is just having fun.
Compared to most kids of his age, he has talent. He (fairly) plays a few instruments, and he can sing and dance. That makes him, like it or not, a musician.
The problem is that Disney saw him first. And he, as many others, play this shitty music in order to please this huge mass of inbred fucking people that buys it.
I'm not a fan or anything (far from it, actually...). It just annoys me, this unconditional hate for him.

Sounds like a guy who owns drums that just dicks around on them every once in a while. If he was trying out for a band I was putting together I'd tell him to keep practicing.

We are all drummers or different musicians that search for drum solo videos and Justin's videos come up in the related videos and we get curious about weather he's good at playing drums. Unfortunately we find hes no good and him getting all these great opportunities behind the drum kit is a slap in the face to drummers who really strive and work hard to make a living. That's why we hate.

So he has a decent voice, but really in the mass spectrum of music and singers, from an unbiased perspective he holds no water. He doesn't have anywhere near the vocal range or ability of some singers out there that few people know. Now his drumming is even less than that. Justin taught me to never give up and keep trying. Now I'm a junior and in honors classes and read a year above my grade level. Justin taught me not only to believe in my dreams, but to believe in myself. I think Justin is talented and I look up to him.

Not bad for someone who isnt actually a drummer. If he were the drummer of a band, a popular one at that, id say this is disgraceful. People making a big deal over a mediocre drummer. But thats not the case here. He's a singer. I don't like him or his music but I give credit where credit is due. So like I said, not bad for someone who isnt a drummer.

@darkblood619 yeah. They kept it real simple for him. 16 bars from his own song, played over and over again. And the band was still changing tempo to adjust to his inability to keep it. Sounds like a guy who owns drums that just dicks around on them every once in a while. If he was trying out for a band I was putting together I'd tell him to keep practicing.

@darkblood619 the sad thing is he claims to be a drummer since the age of two. I know he doesn't really play it when performing, but why boast that you've been playing most of your life, come up, and play really mediocre. He's being given a little too much credit if you ask me.

@darkblood619 Good point, if he were oh I dunno SINGING. But this is a DRUM SOLO on fucking Letterman. He's not taking a moment out of a concert to play some drums to be cute. THEN I'd buy your comment. But he's on Letterman to do a DRUM SOLO. So, this was not worthy.
It's like the Steward Copeland was on and people trashed his solo and others say, "Leave him alone. He's a great composer." So fucking what. He's on the show to play the drums!

Who are you to say he isn't a drummer? Did you ask him? If he's drumming I'm going to assume he's a drummer, and if he's on a show to showcase his drumming then there is even more reason to assume this. Since this is the case, I will rate him as a drummer, compared to other drummers, and he is absolutely nothing special.

@darkblood619 He plays drums, so I believe logic induces us to asume he is a drummer, there are lots of drummers who don't play for a band (or at least regularly). If you get to perform live in the same show where Gavin Harrison and Dennis Chambers play as well you've got to be at least somehow impressive. This sucks HARD, that little fag should be humble enough to refuse the offer of playing there if he isn't up for the deal. Once again I wonder why such stupid comments make it to the top...

Why the hell do you haters even bother searching/clicking on Justin's videos? Don't give me any of that "cause we hate him so much" shit. There is music I dont like but I don't go looking it up. People have different tastes in music. No one forces you haters to type in his name to get to his videos. @BiebsForever95 I for one, didnt search up this particular video, it appeared as a suggestion from another video that I was watching (An ACTUAL DRUM SOLO by Neil Peart on Letterman) and I wondered if he was any good. Maybe there are some people here that dislike it because its him, but I dont like it because its not good. He can hit the drums fast, but from what I can see, he has no technical skills on the kit. Im not "hating" on him, I just dont think hes good.

@BiebsForever95 Do me a favor and go look up the Tony Royster Jr drum solo on Letterman or better yet, look up the solo that Tony did when he was 12. After you do that, come back and listen to this video again and tell me that it doesn't sound atrociously horrible. Maybe that will help you relate to all of the drummers who hate this video because your eminent new found awareness of Bieber's inability to drum is an awareness that the drummers on this video have always had.

@BiebsForever95 That's not how it works at all. We don't intentionally search for Justin Bieber on YouTube. We are all drummers or different musicians that search for drum solo videos and Justin's videos come up in the related videos and we get curious about weather he's good at playing drums. Unfortunately we find hes no good and him getting all these great opportunities behind the drum kit is a slap in the face to drummers who really strive and work hard to make a living. That's why we hate.

So he has a decent voice, but really in the mass spectrum of music and singers, from an unbiased perspective he holds no water. He doesn't have anywhere near the vocal range or ability of some singers out there that few people know. Now his drumming is even less than that. Watch every other drummer being shown then watch Bieber and he gets to be the millionaire?

@BiebsForever95 You're entitled to your opinion and can like his simple catchy music. That's fine, but truthfully majority of people who love music for the art have a much wider range of music than simply pop music or some kind of mainstream based sound in whatever genre major labels push on society. I don't hate Justin, I'm not jealous that he is dating a gorgeous girl or that he is rich. I just think blind devotion to a kid who does pretty much what anyone can do is stupid.

@SeraphicSaint You don't know why I love him. im 16 and dyslexic. I've been called stupid/dumb since 1st grade. I once gave up in school cause i started to believe it. Justin taught me to never give up and keep trying. Now I'm a junior and in honors classes and read a year above my grade level. Justin taught me not only to believe in my dreams, but to believe in myself. I think Justin is talented and I look up to him.

Yo! Give the kid some credit! He is actually pretty good. It is hard to play with people that went to the conservatory for all their life for the first time. I wanna see you guys go up there( if you actually can) and do better than him which is highly doubtful!
