I hate people arguing over mac and pc.. se pc is cheaper, but as some1 already said here in comments, it will become slower during time. This is the thing that macs dont do (atleast as bad). I have had different pcs for over 12 years now, and in 3 years they become half slower than they were when bought. First max still going pretty well.
Both have their pros and cons. Use whatever u like, arguing wont make things better.

No PC ever needs to restart more than monthly (if that, it's more like a few times a year), certainly not every 3 hours. You want a music career? My school also has Macs and I had to edit the yearbook for last year, and let me tell you, it was a pain in the ass. If I added a simple picture, it would need 5 minutes to load. When the picture was added, it would usually freeze and since they covered up the power button, I was stuck with it. If you have a windows 7, usually in most cases if you wait for like 5 minutes, it unfreezes.
this video should be the opposite. i haven't EVER had a pc freeze on me. infact MACS freeze on me. they get that stupid pinwheel that goes in a circle forever and sometimes the pinwheel just stops spinning and it freezes.

@jaykayvenom No, people don't know how to defragment their computers afterwards. Clearly the makers of the software don't want people uninstalling their products so they don't care much about the uninstalling process. PC's DO have defragmentation, but it has to be done manually since you can't count on your PC to tell the difference between a temporary file disappearing and a software being uninstalled and such. People don't take the time to learn basic controls of a PC, that's all.

They build what they want from a PC (and it comes out really cheap) while with Mac you can only go more expensive or less expensive (and either way it sucks). One of my friends (15yr) built a PC from scratch (and its actually somewhat easy, every part comes with a manual and there's tutorials for this on youtube) for under 1,000 dollars and it has the specs of a 2,000 PC.
My mac's never faulted me, and i produce all my HD video, mix music on high powered software alot of time time, i cant complain personally :) and before that, i had a PC that also never broke down on me :L im indifferent :L
@zombiekidcrazy WoW has extremely low specs. Try running a game like The Witcher 2 (I don't play that many games but that is one I do and it is the best of modern graphics)

Also many people run bootcamp on their macs and once they do they get the same quality as a PC.

My 4-year old 200$ PC never crashed once, hasn't even needed an upgrade yet, and will only cost an estimated 50$ to keep being at least 3-4 times as good at gaming as a 1000$ mac would be, just in terms of FPS performance.

It was a really bad idea for my Video 1 class to use these because video editing needs powerful computers and the programs would lock up when we were rendering videos.

@cocobowman3 Lets get one thing straight, we all have computers. You choose to run OSX as an operating system. The other options are Windows and Linux. The only reason I use windows is because I don't know how to use Linux and don't have the time to learn. Windows is great because lots of applications other people make work with it (unlike osx, which isn't popular enough for most people to care about), I also like playing games (again not enough people use it to make games for it).
@cocobowman3 Also now as apples market has grown the problem of viruses, trojans et al. that windows faced is also starting to effect it and just like windows anti-virus protection companies are starting to form. Also macs freeze (because they're overpriced and slow) just like their respective other OS counterparts. So essentially you have paid less for more. Oh also custom periphery hardware, not often designed for OSX. And if all you use your computer for is internet movies music get a google.

For the amount of money you pay for a computer from an apple store you could purchase a custom built computer with custom hardware which is 2-4x more powerful (and hence faster) then install whatever OS you prefer for whatever reason, or all of them if that is what you wish. Two small flash memory hard drives with Linux on one for general internet, movies, music and Windows 7 for games and programs. If your computer has sufficient specs you may not need windows. And if your smart enough with code and don't need programs you may not need windows

No.1 reason I would never use OSX alone as an operating system is mainly because most programs out there that I use don't run on OSX, simple as that.

So your graphics card, processor speed (and cores) and RAM would be half as good as they could be compared to a custom build. As for your viruses, yes, PC's have more. But then, PC's actually have protection AGAINST viruses. My PC has the software needed to actually detect and remove malicious software. A mac however, on average, does not. By this I mean that the average mac user feels so content with the "natural security of their OS" that they fail to put any detection software into the system. When my PC gets a virus, I simply detect & delete. When a Mac gets a virus...it's fucked.
Effectively, the ONLY reason Macs don't have more viruses is due to their minor market standing. 10-15% of the market (and most of that being NON-business) is not really a target for hackers and

@TheLololol111 There was this Mac computer called eMac which were made mostly for schools and had the plain white bodies. Their specs were underpowered. It was a really bad idea for my Video 1 class to use these because video editing needs powerful computers and the programs would lock up when we were rendering videos.

@DeviousBetrayer I have a computer that is like 20 years old (approximately around that), and still works perfectly fine, it is in my garage somewhere it has Windows 95 installed on it (one of the better OS made), but obviously for a speed boost one needs a new computer from time to time - unlike Mac where you HAVE to get a new one every year because it breaks down and since there is no DOS you cannot go ahead and fix whatever is wrong with it...

@cocobowman3 Lets get one thing straight, we all have computers. You choose to run OSX as an operating system. The other options are Windows and Linux. The only reason I use windows is because I don't know how to use Linux and don't have the time to learn. Windows is great because lots of applications other people make work with it (unlike osx, which isn't popular enough for most people to care about), I also like playing games (again not enough people use it to make games for it).

@cocobowman3 Also now as apples market has grown the problem of viruses, trojans et al. that windows faced is also starting to effect it and just like windows anti-virus protection companies are starting to form. Also macs freeze (because they're overpriced and slow) just like their respective other OS counterparts. So essentially you have paid less for more. Oh also custom periphery hardware, not often designed for OSX. And if all you use your computer for is internet movies music get a google.

For the amount of money you pay for a computer from an apple store you could purchase a custom built computer with custom hardware which is 2-4x more powerful (and hence faster) then install whatever OS you prefer for whatever reason, or all of them if that is what you wish. Custom built computer to the specs you desire exactly for what you require. Two small flash memory hard drives with Linux on one for general internet, movies, music and Windows 7 for games and programs. If your computer has sufficient specs you may not need windows. And if your smart enough with code and don't need programs you may not need windows

@cocobowman3 As I stated before a "mac" computer, one from an apple store is essentially double the cost of a custom build for the same specs. So your graphics card, processor speed (and cores) and RAM would be half as good as they could be compared to a custom build. Your better off custom selecting your own computer and then installing OSX on it, if you need to, although I personally would not.

Runs every year in Canada (Vancouver I believe). Every year, the same guy (Charlie Milller) hacks a fresh, Mac (even AFTER it's been patched by Apple), using the Safari browser nonetheless. Once he's in, any Mac he hacks is basically his bitch. 3 years running, 2008, 2009, & 2010, mac has fallen first...

As for your viruses, yes, PC's have more. But then, PC's actually have protection AGAINST viruses. My PC has the software needed to actually detect and remove malicious software. A mac however, on average, does not. By this I mean that the average mac user feels so content with the "natural security of their OS" that they fail to put any detection software into the system. When my PC gets a virus, I simply detect & delete. When a Mac gets a virus...it's fucked.
