No it wasn't. If you watched the DVD extras they show you that it was half 3-D-half real. The monsters and such were real. The gun was CGI.

If you ask me, they shouldn't make a sequel, they shouldn't make a prequel, they shouldn't make a stupid "Doom: The beginning" like every fucking movie series ends with, they should make a fucking "Doom the movie - REMAKE" but they shouldn't do it now, or any time soon, they should wait till they have the RIGHT Actors, right RESOURCES and MONEY enough to actually make a proper fucking movie that lives up to all the doom fans expectations instead of this pile of shit

If you've actually played doom, mostly doom 3, you'd think, that this movie which is supposed to be based on the games is horrible, the acting is horrible, using a computer-made fps stylish scene in a movie is showing lack of funds to create proper scenes with actors actually acting in them, and how many elements did they actually take from the doom games and put into the movie? ALMOST FREAKING NONE, and the monsters / zombies have the worst make-up ever, this movie didn't scare at all too...

I didn't see any Storm Troopers (Nazi SS) running around. I also didn't see the Barons of Hell, Arachnotrons, The Master Mind, Pain Elementals (these guys spawn lost souls), Revenants, or Spectres.

This was the only part of the entire movie to be like the game it was based off of.

Many people think it's based on Doom well if you think about it it's actually based on Doom 3 it's remake because Sarge, Hellknights and Pinky were from that game.

Everyone is entitled to their opinions. I, personally, disliked it. It was pretty, but it could have been more faithful to the game. Like including Hell, longer shots with chainsaw, chain gun and BFG, zombies with guns, and imps and hellknights that shoot energy. Maybe a little bit more consistency.

But, hey. If you want it to be perfect, you're an idiot.

Overall: 8 out of 10.

Wait, grammatical error. I meant to say it was pretty good, not that it was pretty. If anything it's the opposite of pretty. I live with someone who's been playing DOOM since 1993. I just started playing DOOM 3: Resurrection of Evil and I beat the first two bosses without dying. He ended up getting me to do the bosses for him. I have experience, though. I play through Ravenholm everyday, so I gained experience with gravity guns and zombies.
