@daniyellowjello There are places tourists often go in and around Hana. The Hana highway draws a lot of people. Nobody actually hangs out IN the town though. I oversimplified for the sake of time.
@gotduke90 Kara is actually an old friend. She was MY guide, but she's not really a guide. If you're traveling soon though, you might try something like couchsurfer, which connects you with free places to sleep, not guides, but it helps you make a local friend who will likely give you better info than someone who actually works in the tourism industry. And in general if you're extra friendly to locals many of then will want to guide you to things they love.

weird.. I live in Oahu and the only time I ever hear of Hana is when tourists talk about it...
