I grew up watching the show, worked in a boatyard on Cape Cod in the 80's and was commercial and recreational diving through the years. To see the inside an outside of this most famous vessel being restored, is magical.
The talent and the time are absolutely wonderful. I always watched the show on Television! This is a wonderful undertaking. Thanks to all that shared this video with everyone and special thanks to those that are doing the restoration!
part 3 did not go out of studios at the moment, it is necessary to know that leave him II that you have just seen sum up calypso on 1 working year in 2008 on by construction sites " piriou " (in Brittany at concarneau) a French specialist of the restorations of historical boats
part 3 should probably go out at the end of 2009 summing up last working months of restorations of this fabled boat, true temple of diving under navy
This is absolutely beautiful. As a child in the 1970s, I was inspred by watching Cousteau and the Clypso on TV. It is deeply moving to see Calypso taken apart and restored. This is wonderful.
you are unfortunately right, francine cousteau does not look to be really environmentalist indeed hired in the ideology, but rather opportunistic on the succession of what leaves her his husband
she have feet on earth at financial level and working of pictures and name " Cousteau " she represents the capitalist party of the foundation, and makes her job well on this definite point.
It's nice to see Calypso is getting the respect that she deserves. It's been along time coming. These video records of the restoration will add to the historical significance of this little ship. Long Live Calypso, and all who sail on her!
Fantastic to see her progressing. I got the sub titles to work fine.
Great to see there are still some people out there that are still able to use their hands to produce great results. A very well done to all the craftsmen involved in her restoration.

Alexandra is the true environmentalist in the family.
...and smoking hot to boot!
Francine is a bitch capitalizing on the Cousteau name.
She wasn't born with the name!
The kids deserve better than what she is doing to the original Coustea family.

it's a ancient flight attendant, not one environmentalist or oceanographer as her died husband
we never saw her in the activities of Jacques yves during his living being
can be a woman of shade was it has the epoch or simply a woman tied simply to the continent
in everything cases, it manages foundation not so badly today
but alexandra his the daughter of phillipes the son who JY have with his first wife simone ! died in 1990

I can't get the cc button to work, do i need to press it at beginning of download? thanks

They put a LOT of work into that. It might have been easier and cheaper to build one just like it from scratch.
