They are both different and the same. In terms of performance they're closer than people think. But when it comes to other things, the diff. is night&day.

It's weird that a bike pushing out 190 rwhp is able to almost keep up with a bike throwing down 220+ rwhp, but that's exactly what we see happening.

I believe the reason is due to rubber. MotoGP bikes are advancing too fast for tires to catch up. We simply don't have tires that can allow a 220hp beast to fully stretch its legs out.

There's never been a shortage of engine horsepower. Motors have had to be detuned due to lack of grip from the tire. That has historically been the case for decades. Even with the advent of traction control, there's still too much power. We can't create down force on bikes to mirror cars, so the tires have to take all the stress. The technology in MotoGP tires is astounding, especially when you read up on physics/grip. MotoGP tires offer 30% more grip, and that's not enough!

if Spies doesnt do good in motogp, then they should never let any SBK champ into motogp ever again. This cat is unique, he knows his shit, and hes obviously dominating and setting poles only motogp riders set at tracks, and even better.
