Well yes, B was Rue Ryuzaki. The reader is lead to believe that he was L, but L was never there with Naomi. Later, during the Kira case, L used the alias Ryuzaki himself, but the name was originally B's.

this is incredibly good, an amazing representation of BB, i wa really wondering how you were going to pull it off. hoever, as to B looking like L, it never specifically mentions this is the book. obviously, the way he is described in the book (tall hunched dark rings under eyes) not to mention all his habbits, makes the reader believe it is L.but this would all be because he was reaised in wammys house, where they are moulded to be like L.
