  • Really great AMW I saw them being made in one croatian company, they are really fast I saw one driving on Highway on the way for testing ground.

  • That 105 can't hit the broad side of barn on the move.

  • @stalkingalizee

    The shots went straight through...

  • @Gekkibi The shot at 2:50 was a clear miss.

  • Great APC, Finland should get more.

  • greeting from russi

patria with bmp-3 turret simply the best

  • @TATARSTAN59500 hahaha bullshit!!!!!!!

  • @raippaluoto haha shut up

  • (LIKE) if you think these things are called PIRAHNAH i dont know how to spell it but you get the jist.

  • @kitbird87 Indirect fire is rarely shot on the move. This is mortar system for fire support.

  • Fuckin thing looks like a camero on the headlights

  • greetings from croatia we have patria too

  • Heitings gonna heit.

  • We have one of those on our university. Its damn sweet piece of engineering, the overall build-quality is superb. Like Mercedes or something :P

  • I think that that the GTK boxer is better in protection than this one.

  • @R0oach

Think what you want but patria has the best protection in markets today.

  • @R0oach I think it´s pretty much on the same level, but in my opinion Patria AMV is more adaptive. It can use Russian weapon systems too, like BMP-3 turret.

  • @mrhopeful73 bullshit!

  • @mrhopeful73 Not true.

  • I hope sweden will purchase the mortar version of this, the 105 mm gun would also be nice to have in our inventory.

    Which versions have finland purchased?

  • @aolzzon These are Finnish vehicles/engineering, we don't actually buy these.

  • @FINwarfare

Actually goverment does buy them. Nothing is free.

  • sheesh, the target is like 30-40kms away, Who gives a crap if you stop for a second or two=

  • @plerp1977

Niinno.. Aika kova heitin, jos ampuu sen 30-40 kilsaa. Muistaakseni 120mm alkaa se kipuraja tuleen vastaan jossain 14-15 paikkeilla. Toihan siis ei oo tykki. Siks se onkin noin tarkka.

  • if these had been in ww2 in finnish use, east border wold be much more further in east....

  • @ThirdRomeAquilo

AMV prototype was ready in 2001, it did go serial production in 2003. First Boxer prototypes were ready in 2002.

    Ripoff? lol

  • Finnish quality!

  • Modern version of early Panzer IV.

  • patria amv demostration..... pam! ...... and direct hit RC plane xD

  • this is better than american stryker..... stryker is totaly copy for this...

  • @leksss4

Not true. Stryker is based on canadian LAV III and that is based on Mowag Piranha.

  • @MokomaSusi tjust sayed -.- ...... this is better in my opinion :P......

what is your top 1 amv?

  • Its a bit too high, easy to spot and rollover in terrain. I dont doubt that my neighbour country makes quality military equipment but i will hate my government if they buy the patria vehicle instead of the hägglunds/bae systems alligator. Patria is cheaper but less modifyable than alligator. The Hitech version of alligator called SEP is able to be built either with tracks or weels and lots of different upper structures fulfilling most of the swedish need in defence vehicles. Our government suck!

  • @MyllerSWE Tracks are better !

  • @astrialkil Weeled vehicles are faster but tracked are better in ruff terrain.

  • @MyllerSWE Wheeled vehicles are not faster if tracked vehicle has bigger engine , and rubber tracks ! Wheeled vehicles have much longer turning radius ! which makes them LESS maneuverable ! Face it, the only reason the governments like wheels is their lower initial cost and the politicians/generals get kickbacks from all the tires the military has to buy! look at the striker in Afghanistan ! its tires are replaced every week! Tracks on the M113 last 6 months ! Tracks are cheaper in the long run!

  • @astrialkil Well that could be true but tracked vehicles often weigh more because of its construction and most dont have rubber tracks only rubber pads bolted to the metal links so for long distans driving with high speed, weels are better. I doubt M113s new rubber tracks last 6 months without maintenance and the old metal tracks for it wouldnt last that long either.

  • @MyllerSWE New rubber tracks have a 60,000 mile rating., and they don't go flat like tires and almost no real maintenance .

  • @astrialkil

I would like to see your source about Strykers tires being replaced every week. I do remember seeing some articles about Strykers needing more tire changes than expected when they were introduced, but it wasn't about every tire being replaced every week. it was more like every vehicle needing tire change about at the same time witch is kind of expected when all vehicles are new and on their first set of tires.

  • @astrialkil tracks are better? U sure? Most like you need to fix those more than tire.

And u should remember this is "light armour", its high end of that.

  • @lintu25 New rubber tracks have a 60,000 mile rating, and they don't go flat like tires and almost no real maintenance . All military vehicles have to go off road in hellish weather like the spring when the mud is terrible. So why not have your Expensive MOTAR unit be ready year round for the the bad weather? this is not a police patrol car! If you need a patrol car for your highways then that's a total different story. The US has the commando V-150 (M1115) for convoy patrols in Afghanistan.

  • @astrialkil Do u know the weather in Finland? Its almost all bad its cold, rainy and few sunny days in mid summer :)

Those cars are not ment to be highway patrol. U get 120mm "tank"gun to them that is more than most USA tanks got. And that mortar system is optional, but do you wanna carry 120mm heavy mortar in the forest?

Do you know how much that weight?

Patria AMV is one of the very best APC, end of story :)

  • Funny that we finns cannot affoard good weapon synstems like Patria.

But good u polish love it ;)

  • Please, don't make me laugh! Freaking toys by freaking people!

  • finland never lose to russkies! im fan on finland war heroes! if now would start war with russkies, i would are ready to fight!

  • That is evil car :)

  • It's all about speed

  • Oh come on! :D The PzHb2000 of Krauss-Maffai-Wegemann is way more precisely and the shooting episode is way faster, and if you want a tank, well then you better buy a Leopard 2A7 or 2A6....All these wheel-Thingys ...

  • @choisl

Did you just compare 120mm mortar and 155mm artillery? Apples and oranges. And how can you compare IFV and tank? lol

  • @MokomaSusi Well if i got those two things I got no need for this Thingy! That's how it is cause oranges are tastier than apples! :D

  • It's mortar. With at-cannon AMV can shoot on movement.

  • @tannalv

What weapon system are you talking about? Of course you have to stop if you shoot with mortar.

  • @tannalv

mortars and artillery pieces have to be stationary when firing, id like to see some mortars or mlrs fireing while moving.

And this is not why iraqi tanks most of the time couldnt fore at enemy tanks its not because they would stop, but because most of the time they would not even see the enemy.

  • I heard by the news that EU-parlament is warning Suomi not to be to nazistic allians with the Swedish military with the question what to do with the Swedish national nazistic valuta.

  • Jaha det var något nytt, Sverige har en nazistik valuta?! Jag förstår inte, förklara dej.

  • I still cant see the target, wait! there it is. PANG. Perfect hit.

  • nice staff!

  • i wish there's a mini-UAV that can fit into small compartment inside tanks or AIFV. every tanks and AIFV should have one.

  • They have UAV as small as the palm of your hand. There are also models that are sized to be carried by armored units.

  • Rosomak has less armour, but can swim. The vesrion for afghanistan has more armoured (than the original AMV) but cannot swim.

  • i like the shoot and run.

  • NICE!

  • Yea and this hits x many shells exact sametime to that area.

  • @ 2:25 it looks like it's gonna fall over on the side :P

  • Naah, Finnish quality vehicles dont do that ;)

  • It missed them by less than ten metres. And that's damn good. You would die if an artillery grenade dropped that close on land. And that should be fair enough, right?

  • Canadian LAV? It's a canadian build Mowag Piranha.

  • To the "TheGatman101":

-I am kinda sure that LAV falls short on every single category against Patria AMV.

I think that you mean the Kodiak LAVIII, which is just a spin from the MOWAG Pirana III.

Kodiak cannot take the same punishment from projectiles or mines, it has less room in it, it has considerably shorter range and engine power is much smaller.

In which particular field the LAV was better again?

  • LAVS is made of donuts.

  • Somebody sorry typos

  • i bet no one even understand what you're trying to say.

  • i heard that the u.s marine corp. will replace the lav-25 ifv once lockheed martin/patria vehicles well start doing the vehicles in the next 5 years or so but it'll be called the MPC ( marine personnel carrier ).

  • Boxer MRAV vs. Patria AMV?

    why?

  • We have Your Patria in Poland - "Rosomak" - the best AMV in Afghanistan. Greetings from Poland.

  • Rosomak is Polish or Finnish production?

  • rosomak is modified version of finnish patria. its produced in poland on finnish licence

  • @zlotygekon

Exactly how are rosomak different compared to AMW? I mean it´s the same vehicle. It just has a different name.

  • trekker84 im not expert but i know rosomak is modified to nato standard (tranport and communication) and have diffrent turrets.

  • "and have diffrent turrets. "

It does not have designated turret so it's up to buyer what sort of turret they put on it. Thats why it's called AMV.

  • ok im told im not an expert. but logicaly are two posible reasons of changing name. 1) because it is nato version of patra 2) because all polish army vehicles have name of animal (in polish)

  • @zlotygekon

from what ive heard rosomak has little thinner armour than original patria because it needs to fit the airplane.

  • the best wheeled APC - Armored Personal Carrier . AMV - Armored Modular Vehicle and it is Patria product

  • @XxXtomsXxX Yes this is the best vehicle ever!!! We need also this tank turret and use then our Wolverine as a high mobile tank destroyer for light forces!!! Super idea!!! But in our Wolverines should also use RCWS 30 not OtoMelara Hitfist :-(

  • @XxXtomsXxX

Większość części do rosomaka jest robiona u nas

  • @XxXtomsXxX Poland rules :D

  • This one is very dangerous. Just enter the coordinates and the system handles the job. No need to wait and see the results.

  • We bought some too recently. Greetings from Slovenia.

  • sounds like the pirates of the carribian

  • Soon to be in sweden too, but of course it is a huge uproar as the puny little neighbour has made a better vehicle as the local overpriced crap.

Swedish and Norwegian UN troops have used Finnish made Pasi's for the last 30 years or so. Good for them. :)

  • Is the vehicle modular like the Terrex and Boxer?

  • AMV = Armoured Modular Vehicle

  • POlska armia nie kupi mozdzierza amos na podwoziu Amv powstał w kraju Rak:)

  • Awesome vehicle :D

  • compined with programmable ammo..

    yes its quite nice.

  • I don`t what you mean..but try fucking russian! come 2 FINLAND!!

  • In Polish Army Patria AMV= KTO "Rosomak"

  • Eihän kranaatinheittimellä ämpäriin ammuta. Riittää ku osuma on parinkymmenen metrin päässä.

On tainnut taas porukalla mennä vähän ohi asiat. :D Ja toi get a life prick. Jumankauta kun olin väsynyt äsken kun juuri heräsin, mut en enää. xD Toi oli niin hyvä juttu. Huomaa, että sitä ollaan ihan Hellsingin herroja. hahhah!

  • Stop abusing one another ppl.

  • Patria, Rosomak in the Polish Army does a great job! You Fins have done a great vehicle! My brother is in Afghanistan and he says that Rosomak has already saved his live. Greetings for You all:)

  • Well thank u :p

  • @wloczykijCM thanks! i like poland too...

  • AMERIKAN ASSHOLE ???

  • Considering that Finland has mandatory army, One of the worlds most efficient defence based armies made for Arctic warfare as well as weapons and vehicles built and purchased mostly reliability+efficiency in mind... Yep, im quite positive that Finnish army still exists.

Serbian forces cannot operate in Finland for the cold and long winters. Equipment will fail.

Technically, Finnish equipment would not fail in serbia.

  • Mmh, you are European.

  • Yap, it's even keeping up the peace in Kosovo because of stupid fucks called Serbs.

  • In what way?

  • In practise my friend

  • As it is said by many military authors around the world that AMW has a lot of abilities far more superior compared to other rivals. For example the mine protection system and the armor. Lazar is old as hell. It´s slower, less armoured, less equipped and poorly designed. AMW withstands anti-tank mine, Lazar does not. So i really doubt a lot your Lazar being better than AMW.

  • Yes, it is all true. But it is allready in use in iragi army, only becouse of price

  • You are saying that because you are Serbian, and you have to be proud of something that is from your country, other then shitty Eurovision contestants and a an asshole also known as. Slobodan Milošević.

  • Yeah? Care to point out those capabilities that make it better?

You're going to win the prize of best comebacks of 09.

  • Lazar is still prototype and already it is old fashioned. Patria is modern army equipment. Lazar is 10 years old technology.

  • Good point, the glorious army of Iraq.

  • Well you can't mount either a howizer, grenade launcher, AT-tank cannon or a machinegun on lazar can you?

Answer, no you can't it just has a machinegun.

So yeah, Patria AMV is better.

  • Please don't make arguments that you can't back up with knowledge.

  • "And what kind of army knowlidge do have you little pussy?"

6 months of mandatory service in Finnish Defence Forces, what about you immature Serbian kid?

Then again, knowing the differences between Patria AMV and Lazar APC doesn't really need any military knowledge.

  • In other words you don't have any military experience nor you do you actually know shit about Lazar other then that it's Serbian.

Plus it's lame for one (you) to have the same comeback which the other one (me) already used once.

  • "Lazar is a great armored personnel carrier.

It's proven by the fact that non-existant military of Iraq just bought it."

Now that there is a good joke.

  • Hah u are funny boy.. do u have army? if it's exist why u country need peace keepers? like us? :) boy u dont know anything about theys thinks what u telling us?..

  • I'm impressed! At least the Polish army cares about it's subordinates unlike the U.S. who as currupt their army is by employing the stryker.

  • Polish? Isn't this like..umm...the Finnish? :p

  • Yes, It's Finnish, not Polish...

  • Isn't the Polish army using this?

  • Yes, poland did buy 690 AMV vehicles. They are made with license in Poland.

  • Impressive!

  • hvala

  • Guy byg500 sad that Polish rosomak:) was hit 3 times by rpg-7 and nothing. Mister there is diferent types of rpg-7 rockets :) some destroying even...amrams so think about it.

I think this patria AMV is ..good but BMP 3 is not better but more aggile and has better options. Just opinion. But i ve seen BMP 3 in action that is impresive,,,,

  • There's no RPG-7 of any kind that exists today on this planet that can, destroy the M1A1 (HA), M1A1 nor M1A2 "Abrams" tanks. Not to talk about M1A2 TUSK.

If fired to a certain points, it can DISABLE the MOBILITY (which also happened rarely cuz of RPG's inaccuracy) of the tank but cannot kill the crew that's inside the tank.

"..it took one thermite grenade, two AGM-65 Mavericks and a SABOT round in the ammo compartment to destroy a mobility killed Abrams."

Lets not talk about RPG killing M1.

  • true..but..as we saw in iraq..there are some different methods 4 destroying even the latest abrams versions..with IED that prove very efective..even in lebanon hezbollah used ied for destroying merkava tanks..

  • We were talking about conventional explosives. Anyone can make an IED that's gonna blow the shit out of any kind of vehicle.

  • diggin down 100 kg of explosives isn't latest word in warfare. Its a sign of desperation!

  • well not true, 100kg is a bit too naive to belive..but they were proofs that iraqis digged artillery ammunition and rigged them by remote control detonation.

  • ye but there are better plus lavs designe is restricted this has more room can handle more gvw ect...

  • i think canada should buy a canadian version with a few mods to suit are needs

  • Isn't Canda already making LAV III vehicles? i have readed that they are good vehicles.

  • All the LAV's we had are Canadian made. They come out of London, General Dynamics Land Division, foremly GM Defence.

  • ye and if they order new ones to replace the ones worn out from afghanistan wich is all of them it will send prolly 1billion dollars into the canadian economy and automotive industry

  • Poland bought license for production of those APC and we renamed them as a Rosomak (volverine).
