  • Why does this look like it was filmed in the 1970s right after soul train?

  • Guess Not.

  • Was it hard to hit the signaling device?

  • @narnia0100, yes it was. In fact, that was, in my opinion, the reason that the computer was able to beat Ken Jennings. Of course Ken Jennings knew all the answers, but the machine had an advantage with the signal.

  • @thibodeaux2k True, true. Was the button sticky or so? And by the way, congratulations on your winnings! I know you are much older now, but these memories are still memories.

  • @narnia0100 I don't think it was "sticky," but it's definitely not easy to get the timing right. You can click it too early or you get locked out. And if you click too late, well, somebody else will get the answer.

  • This was the last episode for the Jeopardy round with values for $100 to $500. This was also the last episode for the Daily Double values $200 to $1000.

  • oh well, at least you got that nifty tv.

  • "A Savvy wager". What about a Mandy wager? A reference to Savvy and Mandy.

  • I bet Jeopardy! Place was a spoof of Melrose Place.

  • Kevin Keach became a 5-day champion before Alan's run, and was the last champion to be entered in the 2001 Tournament Of Champions. Meanwhile, Alan would later become a 5-day champion and was the 1st champion to be entered in the 2003 Tournament Of Champions.

  • @jmaxx112714 Kevin Keach was also the first new contestant on the next episode of three new contestants after Lan Djang retired a 5-time undefeated champion and Lan chose the two Chevrolet Camaros.

  • heyy, do you by chance have any advice for someone trying to get on the show?

  • I'll tell you how I did it. I signed up for a tryout via their website; it was a tryout in New Orleans. They invited me to the tryout, and I took the test and passed. I think that's pretty much all you have to do.

  • Read Ken Jennings' book, too. He has lots of tips.

  • Uhm, not to be rude, but..

    Who is Anthony?

  • it's anthony dude... come on

  • Lmao.

  • OH THAT ANTHONY.

  • Shame you got caught against a future five time champion and Ultimate Tournament of Champions contestant.

  • No kidding! I guess that gives me a good excuse for losing, though. :)

  • Montenegro is now an independent country BTW....

(I love correctly Jeopardy geography, lmfao)..

  • Alan appears to get locked up on the buzzer alot, he knew alot more then it appeared. Must be frustrating for him.

  • He's not the only one, and it IS frustrating.

  • Jeopardy rules

  • Jeopardy has resently been updated and they stop the noise of the puzzel board now.

  • goddamn douche

  • This place is a wedding ceremony in "Jeopardy Place". 0_o

  • Actually both Jeopardy and WOF tape at Sony Pictures Studios..Jeopardy's in Stage 10, WOF's next door in Stage 11. Before that, Jeopardy taped at Hollywood Center Studios and WOF taped at Bob Barker Studio at CBS Television City.

  • That was before it was named the Bob Barker Studio.

  • ...and before that, Wheel of Fortune was at NBC Studios Burbank and Jeopardy (Season 1) was at Metromedia Square.

  • Ah. 2001. That was when Jeopardy! categories started getting weirder and weirder.

  • Where is Jeopardy's Studio?

  • It's in Culver City, CA. That's pretty much part of Los Angeles, I guess.

  • Really?

  • Yes, really!

  • Really?

  • It's also part of the Sony Pictures Studio...

  • Did this come from WTVD Raleigh?

  • Oh gosh...as soon as I saw it was Alan Bailey playing, I knew who won immediately.

He became a 5-time champion and later participated in the UToC.

  • I miss Alex's mustache.

  • You do?

  • You bet I do.

  • The new theme song was made in the middle of Celebrity Jeopardy! from Las Vegas on February 6, 2001 before it became permanent as of April 23, 2001.

  • I think it wasnt a wink i think it was a twitch... lol

  • Aw the days when game shows had to make you think instead of "taking a lie detector test" or "dealing" with a faceless bank executive and his suitcase's!
