  • So how much extra were they charging for admission to the viewing area that day?

  • @davey7601 I think it was something like £12 per car but it was free if you got the bus there or if you walked there.

  • @adama340 I'll bet that was much higher than the normal price

,this country is full of opportunistic money grabbing bar-stewards who like to cash in on the gullible british public.

The A380 lands at Manchester every day right?,so why didnt all those spectators just not go to view the plane on some other day?,they would have had plenty of time to do it.

  • @davey7601 I know. It's just a con. It's been there near enough every day since this landing. It's just because it's the "1st landing" at Manchester, people flock there. I'm guilty of it too. I'm an aviation fan but I walked in for free. It was an amazing day though. I was on the ITV lunchtime news talking about the plane... very embarrassing when I saw it on TV later that night. It was a great day though. Atmosphere was amazing too!

  • I came back to manchester on an a380 in april with emirates, dead funny since i'd been to that plane spotting place before. when we were landing, the wooden stand and the fence looked as if they were going to break, because there was so many people!XD

  • @MiniToasty1 If you listen to the video at 17 seconds you'll hear a cracking sound. That's actually one of the beams in the fence breaking due to the number of people stood on it. It was funny at the time haha! :)

  • this plane is fab

  • WOW, talk about a lot of spotters lol
