  • This game is amazing, simple fun!

  • loved this game

  • This game sucked hardcore lol. I remember playing this and being like WTF, wanting so smash shit lol

  • i loved dis game back in the day never did get to to far but it waz very fun!

  • This reminds me of Space Harrier for the Sega Master System.

  • i dont understand why they made the so called 3d glasses... al i see is red and blue together and its irritating ..... only 3d effects i see is on the virtualboy and the 3ds

also not in the movies with 3d ..... but the 4d movies i see the effects realy nice

  • When I was a toddler nothing terrified me more than this game.

My parents used to torture me by playing it. They thought it was funny that I would cry just at the sound of the music.

  • I hated this game when I played it, but the videos make it look fun...

  • i fucking loved this game

  • this was the first game that I played that was made by Square at which they were famous with Final Fantasy. First NES game that was 3-D to me.

  • aww dammit, do you have to talk over the game? i hate videos that do that

  • I never did get the 3D to work :( Even displaying it on an old analog TV didn't give me the WOW effect.. it just... didn't work..

  • @izlude2

It never did for me either, the 3-D glasses were worthless. And this game was more frustrating than fun for me, I don't see why it needed to get so hard. The programmers shoulda just let the kids beat the damn thing!

  • 2:17 i lol'd so hard!

  • It looks like one of those sonic bonus games.

  • that game is offered on Ebay with 3-D Glasses and original Boxing

Auction ends in 4 1/2 Days

anyone interested, just write me an email and I send you the link to the auction

  • 2:13 FFFFFFFFuck LOL

  • DAMN! i didn't know i can shoot! and i'm in world 6!

  • this was one of the first titles i had for NES. kudos to you for reviewing it. brings back memories.

  • cheesy version of sega's space harrier..but this game lacks depth

  • Still cool for an Nes game!! Never heard of this game.....Well, I guess that why it's called Obsscure Game Theater...

  • ain't got shit on space harrier sms

  • I don't think the NES was meant to do 3d processesing but I could be wrong. Well I might play the game on my Nestopia. Have you played Caltron 6in1? That game would make you want to drink the anti-freeze from the garage. Chubby Cherub would do the same! After playing that game I wanted to commit suicide. THATS HOW FUCKING BAD IT REALLY WAS! I don't think amagon is bad game but mediocrish but not horrible in my opinion at least. Im not sure why.

  • very bad music :(

  • @EricBarbman

    what??? it's awesome!

  • @EricBarbman actually I think it is good, just not enough different tracks thats all

  • It looks fun :D

  • 2D vs 3D

my chances are 2D is better.

they keep them simple and easy

3D is hard u have no idea wats doing on

    unless its a shooting game

  • Cool! I have a pair of 3D glasses. I'll need to get this game.

    Good video :-D

  • i just got this game in a huge lot, not bad, funky....

  • it look like space harrier + more awesome!!

  • I can't figure out what to do in World 6-1. there is an extremely long jump, and pillars (to maybe jump onto) but I can't figure out how to land on them right. If anyone knows this trick...please fill me in.

  • If I remember correctly, you need to make sure not to press the directional (up) after you 'jump onto' the pillars. While you're bounding on top of the pillars they should be perfectly spaced out at a distance equal to go the distance that you would go without speeding yourself up by pressing the up button. Then all you should need to do is press the left or right button to line yourself up with the pillars

  • looks like a cool game :D

and the graphics are good for the NES...

    NES <3

    i have 221 orginal games now ^^

  • Mode7 is a function that was introduced with the SNES and needed a special chip. This game here uses a standard 3D effect with zooming, pixelated sprites that was common for that time, any car racing game used the same effect.

  • 2:17 = fuck.

  • LOL nice one.

  • This game was just a LAME attempt to answer Space Harrier for the SMS.

  • yeah, but when you pause in this game he smokes a square!

  • but different gameplay

  • I FUCKING LOVE THIS GAME!!! Memories! KUDOS!!!

  • Space Harrier with jumping!!!

  • i found it!!! thank you!! the only thing i remembered was that you ran into the screen and POISONOUS MUSHROOMS!! thanks! :D

  • Awesome. I just got this game the other day. It's really fun. Did you know that if you hit the "select" button that you can switch to a 3-D mode where you need 3-D glasses? Actually, it sorta works without the glasses too lol. Maybe you can show the 3-D mode next time. Keep up the good work Frankomatic :)

  • watch this while listening to inital D music, it becomes more epic!

  • FRANKOMATIC you are a god, thanx for this video man it brings back memmories and it still looks great.

  • Just bought this game. Got 3 3D games For Famicom now :>

  • omg clasic

  • damn !! great memories i remember this rad game

  • HOLY CRAP. I loved this game when I was little. The 3-D was like WHOA.

  • If you own the NES/Famicom 3D Glasses (Limited production? Because I don't know many people besides my husband and a few friends online who have them) It makes this go pure 3D I love this game so much

  • omg it's a squaresoft game xD

  • I liked this game but it made me nervous as hell and I never beat it.

  • Lol I sitll play this game- And try to get other people to play it too- Definately my favorite NES game of all time- *runs off to play*

  • man i loved this game but damn it would piss me off i never coule beat like level 7 i believe i dont even remember but i know i got past level 4

  • I had about 30 NES games as a kid, and this was one of the FIVE I actually played to the end. The others being SMB, SMB2, megaman 2, and zelda. so it's in good company.

And I don't get why you say "..the pretty BAD 3-D effects"

For its time, they were "pretty" bad-ass - and the fact that they work so well with the gameplay only makes them more impressive.

  • wow I remember this game. It was one of my favs on the nes

  • I liked this game, did not know you could get weapons by running into the pillar; I thought you could only use it against the boss.

  • Oy, this is one of the best games on the NES.

  • thanks for this video. it brought back a lot of memories and i swear i could never beat this game because it got exponentially harder

  • I had a game like this for my TI-89 in high school.

  • Looks neat for n NES game but I guess they ripped most of their ideas from a little game by Sega with starts with S and ends with "pace Harrier"...

  • this was before sega

  • Are you kidding!?!?!? SEGA was around LONG before Square existed (established in 1940 as SErvice GAmes) and Space Harrier was released in 1985. This game came out for NES in 1987.

  • i meant the system.

  • Man, this game gets so hard. I could never beat it when I was a kid.

  • hehe what a times i still play my nes games awesome stuff best wishes

  • i got the game on the NES with the 3D glasses. its a lot of fun :D

  • great review!

  • Also, by the way, how about Spy vs Spy for NES for your next review? Obscure enough, I suppose.

  • Cuts off, why is that?

In any case, good review/theatre thing/ whatever. :)

  • Probably technical difficulties that I didn't notice because I'm inobservant. ;)

  • @Frankomatic do you know how much it goes for without box and glasses j.w not sellin it.
