I ran cross country in high school. I miss it so much, unfortunately I am in no shape to run any time soon. I keep trying to diet and loose weight but I keep falling off the wagon. In the mean time I will just live vicariously through you sir. Keep up the good work! P.S.- The fall colors must have been beautiful. Couldn't have picked a better time to do this!
@ReliantJustUsProject Well if it helps to light a fire, one the guys on our team dropped 70 in 8 months by running. He started out by running 1 mile having never run before. On our relay team he ran 18!
The fall colors were indeed beautiful. Thanks for the support brother
Nice work, buddy. I just sat and watched this with Mrs. Scout, and we both loved it! She especially liked the reflective vest, since she runs with one. Great scenery too. Also very cool that the team was co-ed.
@conleytgn Yeah man that event really made running "fun" : ) I know that may sound odd because I don't normally think of running as fun, but doing it as a team & having a big goal made it worth it.
Just catching up on watching vids . . . what a great adventure to share with all of us. Beth is a runner and I have been sharing these and your PMs with her. Congratulations to you and your team . . . absolutely beautiful country!
@USNERDOC Thanks DOC, we had a little fall color left while doing this run & it made it all the more memorable. Tell Beth to get down here next year we could use her on the team.
Don't run but have been to Chattanooga TN and Nashville TN. Love Lookout Mountain and that whole area. Also love Nashville and the Country Music Hall of Fame and all the attractions there. Two great areas among many in TN. Looks like ya'll had a great time.
@tnoutdoors9 There were markers along the route & either I missed of them or it got switched by someone playing a prank. Either way I found the finish line & added on an extra mile to boot : )
@shugemery Crazy is as crazy does : ) No BBQ (although that would have been amazing) did have some victory pizza & an 11 hour nap! It was good time buddy, thanks for watching. All secure in TN
@DocTacDad Thanks DTD! This video really doesn't do the race justice, but it's a small window of what we did. I have a few new stories to share with people now : ) I saw a disabled marine out there running with a prostetic leg, words don't desribe the pride I felt for him. Take care
@wawhiker I didn't mention it in the video, but each runner ran 3 different legs. The 8 miles was just my first leg, I ended up covering just over 17 miles. It was a lot of fun! Thanks Bill
Wow!! Great Job!!! I would have participatedhowever they didn't have an ambulance to carry my fat tushie off the route when I had a heart attack. Glad you had fun.

Any particular reason for the relay? or is it just for fun?
mobiltec 3 months ago
@mobiltec For me it was another goal needing to be conquered. Some people do it for charity others for fun.

hey CT! really appreciate you sharing some of that event with us. Man, running through the night, what warriors!

Got lost in Nashville?!? How did that happen?
Great run! I don't envy anyone trying to make it up Monteagle Mountain. My car has enough trouble on its own.

@Cr0cket20 Thanks brother, it was a great experience. There was still just enough color on the trees to make it scenic as well.
