i already loved lotus's cars, but have you seen this? it's awsome.. everything that i didn't like about the elise, it's different in this one.. just look at the interior! not spartan anymore! very high tech and functional and modern! ha! i just hope they change the elise to these new standards.. mm.. (dreaming..)
It's a car for a different crowd than the Elise/Exige folks. I own and Elise, and prefer the totally spartan interior. It will be interesting to see how this thing handles as compared to the Elise. I just have a hard time believing it will be better. The VVA chassis concept in fantastic, however. All in all, it's great to see Lotus with a new model; they are slowly paving the way for the return of the Esprit.
i love the elise too.. but i'm pretty sure that this one's handling won't be anything like the elise's because of it's weigth, 1400Kg.. ouch, is almost twice the elise.. but there's also the very different engine.. we'll see
My friend has a elise and he took me for a ride in it. The car is in the top 3 fast track cars for the publice you can get. The handling is BANANAS. Taking turns at high high speeds you wouldn't think about doing in a normal car. I love it.
I'm curious to see how this car handles with the weight difference as well. I guess we will see :)
