@Olliek94 Not chess.com; immortal is best for illegal downloading. I am a free member on ChessCube, and do not like Cubits. They are an invented currency that gets money for the site. Fortunately I win a lot there, so I don't have to buy cubits to keep playing. If you don't like asking questions, you don't have to :-)
@DraganLalic Actually, I figured: If you're going to read the last comment I put, then you'll see this too, so I may as well take advantage and spam you with more questions. Just quickly; what software do you use? Simple as that. Also, I am interested in 1-1 lessons, however, that's not confirmed. Thanks if you do ever read this :)
@Olliek94 I use ChessBase 11, record my screen with the freeware program "Microsoft Expression", edit the videos in Windows Movie Maker if I go on too long, and check analysis with the strongest engine in the world, Houdini (which is free). You can E-mail me at LordPLalic@aol.com. I have several students on this scheme of using Skype.
@DraganLalic Haha, thanks. This is the most feedback I've ever had from someone I'm subscribed to;) Just out of curiousity, did you read both my comments? Yeah, the lessons would definately be something I would be interested in, except I don't have a a webcam... Yeah, I've heard of Houdini, where can I get it? Thanks, and sorry for spamming you with all these questions, you're probably my favourite YouTuber at the moment :)
@Olliek94 Yes, I thought I replied to your first comment. It's not too bad if you don't have a webcam, because it's still a high quality skype call. You can just type "Houdini chess" into google, and their homepage appears.
@DraganLalic Thanks for replying so much, sorry my fault- when I said 'first comment' I was referring to the one underneath the one you answered to, about ratings:) I really hate to annoy you with all these questions, but I promise that this will probably be my last question... well, maybe. -I went onto the Houdini home page, and it says that it's 'Houdini 2' which costs money, I'm happy to pay, but I'd rather not if there's a way to get it for free, again, any feedback is really appriciated:)
@DraganLalic Thanks, I found one on Chess.com earlier, would that one be alright do you think? Sorry to keep asking these questions, it's just you are litterally the only person that it's possible for me to contact who will know the answers;) Just a quick thing, I see you're a high rank on ChessCube, this means you're obviously familar with the site, I don't understand, I just played a single game and won, now my cubits balance is too low, but that was the first game I had played in days...
@DraganLalic This may sound like a stupid question, but how do you go about getting your ECF, Elo and FIDE ratings up? I'm still at school, and only just started really getting into chess, and naturally I completely dominate mini-school competitions we have, and I've watched all your videos and play a lot on ChessCube, etc and I think I'm quite good. I'd like to start getting up my ratings, any advice?

Congrats on the result. One thing I don't particularly understand is that although I very much like your positional approach from your openings, - they mainly come about (as far as I have seen) via less common variations. This to me looks like a product of playing 1 e4 but wanting to avoid mainline sicilian as white (me too) I guess the main question I want to ask is is there a reason for your selection of these lines in place of simply playing 1 d4 which would seem to be more your style? Thanks
@sAviOr11312 Thanks, I'm pleased you like my videos :-) That is a good question. I actually started as a beginner with 1.d4. By the time I started proper tournaments, it was 1.Nf3 with 2.g3 and later d2-d4. I changed then to b3. I finally realized that 1.e4 was the most testing first move, and my results improved. Although 1.d4 is more positional, it gives Black a more comfortable equality. I like to keep my opponent under pressure, and don't mind attacks (I played a strange tactic here at h7).
I like your playing style. I fancy positional play rather than tactical shots throughout a game. Nice B sac! Also congratulations on ECF 200, i think that equals Master in UCSF ratings 2200
nice tactical shot the move i was thinking looses the quuen hahaha, thanks peter, im a terrable tactical player do you have any advice for improving solving puzzles i heard anything else ? thanks again congrats on 1st place !

Very nice game. Beautiful bishop sac. Talk about switching focus to the other side of the board. That's a tactical SHOT if I've ever seen one.
