@mtmckee The early Peel p50's had no reverse gear. This is model made after the one that Clarkson drove. This is the one that had reverse gear.

@CMDRKillsalot They only made 50 of them. There was only one model. There was no reverse gear. It is possible that this is a kit car/replica, in which case it could have one. I think they just used a little camera editing to make it look like she reversed.

Looks like a bit if TV magic - she probably drove it in forwards and they played that bit backwards - otherwise, judging by the camera effects, they might have even just done a bit of simple stop-animation.
