  • everything up to a point was very helpful, but you don't explain the end riffs of the verse - you leave out the explanation for how to play that riff at :40, which is just a huge let down for me

i cant even look at your hands or plucking, because the video quality isnt good enough

  • amp settings?

  • Very helpful lesson. Thanks!

  • that is the most ugly guitar I have ever seen.

  • Has anyone told you that you look like George Harrison a bit? :O

  • what year/make of stratocaster are you playing here? love the black.. extremely similar to what alex played on the original. funny how fender stopped making the american made black strats (standard and deluxe)

  • you play iy wrong

  • Really helpful

  • this is by far one of the best songs for beginners other than Slow Ride. Easy opening, not that difficult chord changes. Great.

One thing is wrong here- CHANGE THE HEAD PLEEEEEEAAAASE!!!!!!!!!!

  • that guitar would be pretty cool if it wasn't for the head to be the mosty ugyl head you can possibly put on a guitar, and I think a telecaster head is even more beautiful (although a telecaster head is really fucking fucking fucking ugly)

  • @alkleiza1995

It sounds good, that's what's really important.

  • do you mind if i ask how do i make my guitar sound like that? cuz i don't know too much about how guitars sound and how they sound different.

  • Wrong from 3:15 to 3:52 for sure! Watch the lesson by Alex Lifeson on the thumb at right for most of the meat of that song and try again!

  • ha ha - you playing it wrong! don't keep the d down. ha ha. playing wrong on youtube for everyone to see.

    watch?v=87FOzk64A0s&NR=1

  • That guitar looks like it dreamt up by a guy having a bad acid trip

  • oh man another person who doesn't play it right...

  • @vectron12 Yup many hacks out there. But what are you gonna do?

  • that's was really good

  • is the solo and the rest of the song coming? thanks for posting.

  • wtf is an e power chord?

  • @rightyourwrong e+ b+e

  • I know this dude!!!!

  • thanks

  • well actually it's 6 minutes 15 seconds :D

  • cool but next time teech it.

  • Your tone is fantastic. Zero hum and buzzing but with gorgeous distortion. I love tube amps. Are you running any pedals for this? On a side note, your playing and instruction are just as fantastic,

  • thanks man good lesson.

  • Thanks PrestonZero. That note is definitely there. Keep your pinky finger on the B string (after playing B Chords) when playing A and E chords aswell. Thanks for the observation.

  • @marioguitarlessons I think its keep your finger on the G string (4th fret, which is a B note)

  • at 3:23 remember to put your fourth finger on the fourth fret of the g string when you play that A chord, and also do that on the E after that, that is the right way to play it...

  • @PrestonZero: You're absolutely right, mabe that's the most important note of the riff, you shouldn't leave that one out.

  • great job man.. made it so easy to learn that riff. lol i dont even play guitar and i can do it

  • what the heck guitar is that?????

  • Marshall Valvestate

  • @marioguitarlessons Vintage Modern + Fender = Rush sound

  • great tone what amp

  • Well done - nice job teaching!!! Sounds great!!!

  • Thanks dude
