@Akibatai00 Yes! My apartment was next door. The owner's from Hong Kong, we go back a long way since he had his old shop in Chinatown Manhattan on Orchard St I think. Great guy.
@Marco1U You were watching very closely! Yes - what happened was the car I was passing at the time turned his wheels out in an attempt to change lanes and it caught my foot peg sending me into a brief but violent wobble.
Last I heard, California only. The law allows you to pass moving or stationary vehicles at no more than 10mph faster than they are moving. If traffic is at a stand-still you can do 10mph between it.
So far as I know, it is NOT legal. I have friends that have gotten ticketed for it (not sure how) but I rarely see any riders sitting put in traffic...
Yeah here in Texas its illegal, but in california its legal as long as you don't go a certain speed faster than traffic. It should be allowed everywhere.
Yes, 10 mph faster than a standing vehicle. My 1st license was in California back before their helmet law. Speaking of which, I was in Connecticut the other day and noticed they don't have to wear helmets...
nice video, but man you are so gonna get it when some fool opens a door on you or pulls out on you like they did me, without even looking. take care man, but yeah, cool video.
Mine was only bought to be thrashed on and offroad, and wasn't maintained at all... it was a dog when I bought it....having said that I do recall selling it afterwards for spares!!
Probably a lack of knowledge about oil levels on my part, that led to it dying.
I have this awesome little, jointed mount called Manfrotto that extends to about 2 1/2 feet with a clamp on one end that has an attachment for pipe/curved mounting and for flat surfaces. It kind of looks like an arm with an elbow joint and a wrist joint at both ends for endless positioning. I attached it to my rear shock for one run and to my shoulder bag in front of my chest for another.
i have one in the dominican republic, but i live in westchester new york. i wish i can ride my baby to school. probably will get pulled over for disturbing of the peace! lol check out my vid!
Actually that was me, "thanks man," as he made a huge gap for me to pass. Part 2.2 is coming in a couple days which finishes the trip from the middle of the bridge to Manhattan's west side.
Hey I just realized, you were in front of Zoom in the beginning of the video, am I correct?

@Akibatai00 I'm not sure what Zoom is but the very beginning I'm on Flushing Ave in Maspeth.

@gumonthepants
Zoom the scooter store.
I thought you were outside of that shop since it is also located in Maspeth.

I once owned a c70....cost me 35 quid... and lasted 6 months of severe thrashing before the piston literally exploded!!
creamdaddy07 3 years ago
I'm going on nearly 20 years of thrashing this one. Recently changed the carb, though, which was pitted pretty bad with water damage.
