  • is a noble hunting

  • Your eyes match ur camo :D

  • Very nice

  • I also love your video and the positive message you are sending, both spiritually and hunting-wise. Good on you sir.

  • @jamiearkansas Thankyou for the kind words. Keep the faith and God bless, Scott

  • do you have a video on how to make that AMAZING ghillie suit?! if not, can you make one? :D

  • @dimzaiboom365 I have had many comments about my ghillie suit so I will do a review. There are 100's of videos on youtube concerning ghillie suits but I will address some details that I feel are important to bowhunters

  • @wildaboutchrist awsome, your AMAZING! I subbed :)

  • can you make a video when u make some arrows? and nice video!

  • @king007ffs I cut some cane two weeks ago. I'll start turning the camera on as I go through the steps of making some arrows and Atlatl darts. Take care, Scott

  • Man one question I live in north Florida and I can't find any bow wood to replace my old flat any suggestions on bow wood around

  • @kjackson525 Many more trees will make a bow than most people imagine. Hickory, locust, maple, white oak, mulberry, elm, That should get you started. You can also look up "Rudderbow Archery" and order a stave or bow blank. Going that way could have you shooting your bow in a couple of weeks. Take care, Scott

  • I love this video and the message.

  • @Ratd0g28 Thank you very much. God bless, Scott

  • good hunting!

  • Love the stalk in!! I'm still making my osage longbow but haven't fully finished the tillering.

  • @browneye77 Thanks for the kind words. Good luck working on your bow. God bless you and yours, Scott.

  • Dude great job wow

  • Your hunting attitude is bang on. You make the rest of us hunters look good. I'd be happy to have a hunt like yours. Happy hunting brother. :)

  • good hunt good job an great doe

  • Nice hunt ! Great video ! What type arrowheads are used ???

  • @MrSilver9759 The head was flint, set in the cane shaft with pine pitch, and bound with deer sinew.

  • @wildaboutchrist do you eat the shot animals too? because some people just kill them and then hang up their heads on the wall which is pretty sad for the animal :(

  • @ferzendd3 Yes my family eats the deer meat, as well as the catfish and wild hogs we kill. We can the deer meat and hog meat so there is no need for refridgeration. I would rather kill a couple of 80# doe than a big trohpy buck anyday. The meat is so much better and the old saying is true,"you can't eat the horns"! I have killed my share of trophy bucks and I figured out that someone down the road is going to kill one just a little bit bigger than yours everytime and it just doesn't matter.

  • @wildaboutchrist I strongly concur regarding antlers being inedible but they do make the best slingshots you'll ever see!

  • You sir are AWESOME!

  • Praise the Lord Brother, Really enjoy your work and giving and praise to Him.

  • nice

  • Excellent video! Every deer harvested is a trophy, especially when taken with primitive gear! Very interesting to watch...I'll be subscribing! :)

  • look, he has Marothon Pro , Cold Blooded Pro as well as Ninja Pro equipped!!!!!

  • @home0girl0kitty As well as Steady Aim !!

  • Great video Scott. What kind of wood is your bow made from? It looks like bamboo or something. Did you film this yourself or do you have a film man? Every deer taken with a wooden bow is a trophy. Tracy

  • @turbodog061188 The bow is Ipe backed with bamboo. No camera man, just me. I just got in from my first hunt of this deer season. Saw 6 hogs, two coyote, and three deer. Good morning in the woods!

  • This guy will become as knew as Fred Bear :)

  • @JCGphotopigiste Thank you for the kind words. Believe me, there where many men doing this whose shoes I could never hope to fill, long before I decided to turn a camera on. We are all walking a path where many feet have trod before. Ecclesiastes 1:9,10 says "That which has been is what will be. That which is done is what will be done. And there is nothing new under the sun. Is there anything of which it may be said, "see, this is new"? It has already been in ancient times before us."

  • Wow...that was really exciting mister !! That stone arrow head works excellent.

Good job sir, you're really an outstanding 'primitive hunter'...hats off for you !!

Here in the Netherlands it's impossible to hunt this way, becouse it's forbidden.

I wish i was living in the US, Alaska would be great.

  • Good stuff

  • Good job ! What's the song ?

  • wow sir..u made my day! best primitiv huntin' video ever!!! thank you kindly and keep up the good work.

    god bless u brother

  • @GALACTOR83 Thank you, glad you like it. Watch for more primitive soon. Atlatl fishing will be next

  • Nice hunt! Good job!

  • Good shot

  • What a shot good sir!

  • @lazydragonslayer Thank you

  • muy bonito tu video amigo el mejor de todos

  • @3BUITR Muchas gracias mi amigo me alegro que te haya gustado

  • Thanks be to God for your video, awesome footage and demonstration on primative hunting footage. We aren't allowed to hunt here in England, politicians won't allow it unless on privately owned land with permission...all land here is owned by someone :( So, a primitive bow and arrow and stealth are the only way I stand a chance of gathering my own meat. Thanks for a great video...peace be with you and your family. Good hunting

  • @Stevetaylor099 Thank you so much. We in America are blessed beyound meassure, even though most of us don't know it. Freedom is never free, it always comes at a high price and should be valued as such.

  • @wildaboutchrist well said!

  • Cool video for sure. However, as one user pointed out: "How did you get all of the camera angles set up?" I think that you did kill this deer with that bow and that arrow, however, I do not think that the footage of you taking the shot in this video, is the ACTUAL footage of the real shot that you took, but is rather a recreation. It just doesn't jive. How would you have a camera pre set, etc. etc???

  • @Dubitc Thanks for asking, I am one man with one camera. I set the camera in front of me on a small tripod and shoot over the top of it. after the shot I turn the camera around and recreate the shot. Most every hunting show in the industry does the same. Getting that shot on film is the result of 3yrs. of trying. Good footage is hard won, as anyone knows who is doing this on their own. I only shoot 10% of the game I get in bow range because of filming issues

  • hey whats the poundage is that bow on

  • Awesome video. I shot a caribou Bull once. When I walked up to it I said out loud "praise you Lord Thank you Jesus" . Up he jumps and takes off running. I had to shoot him again and make sure he was not only down but dead this time before I thanked the Lord out loud. I still chuckle over that one. Good job and looking forward to more of your vids. Take care.

  • @phreshayr Thanks for viewing, it means a lot. There are more on the way.

  • That is a great Ghillie suit. Where did you get it? Or did you make it?

  • @GOBRAGH2 I made it by sewing netting from hobby lobby on an old camo suite and tieing on burlap string from some old blind material. I have $30 invested and some time. I make or modifie all my hunting cloths so I have string ciearance to shoot my bow. Thanks for asking, if you try this wear a dust mask, breathing the fibers that become airborn when you unravle the burlap is not good!

  • I love this vid where did you do this at

  • @arctiksniperful Western South Carolina along the Savannah river

  • Very good video. I really enjoyed that hunt.

I'm glad I found your channel

    Thanks

  • Great hunt, Great respect for the animal. only difference between me and you is that I am a Pagan. Not sure how christians feel about that but your philosophy on hunting is something everyone could do with listening to.

  • best hunting video on you tube. You should have your own show.

  • @707Burke707 Thanks to all

  • Great video and even a greater message! Giving the glory to God for this harvest puts this video in class by itself. We all could learn my by simplifing our lives and focusing on what is important!

  • @mnmsirius Becoming a Christian does not mean you quit having fun or enjoying the things you love. Becoming a Christian changes your perspective on what is really important and who deserves the credit. The devil wants us men to think we are stronger than we really are. A wise man knows he is weaker than he thinks. We are all just one or two bad decisions away from losing it all without the help of Christ and good Christian friends

  • @wildaboutchrist I agree totaly! Good Chistian friends with a heart after God are a great support. Having a close relationship with Christ is life chaning!!!!

  • Just for fun. Try doing the same shot without any camo or face paint. I propose the deer would not respond any differently.

  • @hunt458 You are right to a point. I shot wy first mature buck with a bow in the early eighty's and I was wearing a red flannle shirt and a new pair of blue jeans. But I promise you, the ghillie suit is DEADLY on game. they look past you and around you, not AT you!!!

  • Awesome. Nice hunting.

  • amazing video

  • Way to go nice shot. deer that size are perfect eaters .

  • I can't get enough of this vid !!!

  • @BrokenTengu99 me neither i watch it every day

  • @joec123able

    You too ?!

  • Nice stalk, shot, and after kill.

  • 3:24 you can see the arrow went all the way through and then some! great shot

  • Amen!

  • Well done Scott, I like your attitude.

  • i don't quite agree with your opinion that all animals are ours to use. still it is good to see your modesty as a hunter, and your respect for the deer. congratulations on the successful hunt.

  • @ApollonPythios Thank you for sharing your point of veiw in a kind maner. I must admit that statement sounds different than the feelings I was trying to express. Genesis 1:26 does say "Let Us make man in Our image, according to Our likeness; Let them have dominion (rule) over the fish of the sea, over the birds of the air, and over the cattle, over every creeping thing that creeps on the earth."

  • Awesome

  • How did you get all the angles? fantastic vid bro, thanks for posting, very impressive ; )

    -Mitch

  • Nice shot ! What kind of bow is it .

  • @brutallindigo Ipe (a tropical hardwood) backed with bamboo

  • Ecellent penetration on that shot!

  • @MrBudwv This equipment do work!

  • great video mate it is very nice to see some bow hunters on youtube who have respect for the animals they kill

  • @flamefinger1989 Thanks for the kind words

  • Great hunt! How Close did you get on the stalk before they made their way towards you?

  • @NockEmDead When I first saw them they were 100yds. away. I closed the distance to about 50yds. and let them feed into me. The shot was taken at 20ft.

  • what is the draw weight of your bow? and how sharp are your obsidian tips?

  • @umidontno040394 The bow is pulling 58-59# at my draw length. The point was heat treated flint and scary sharp

  • @wildaboutchrist thats cool, did you make the bow and the arrowheads? i want to learn how to knap well.

  • @umidontno040394 I make all of my equipment, but I also have friends who do the same. We trade stuff back and forth. That being said, the point I used on this hunt was not one I made. It was the sharpest one in the quiver so thats the one I used. I knap some tools and points but that is not my strong point. I spend most of my time building bows and arrows and the clothes I'm wearing. It takes more time to make good arrows than anything else.

  • @wildaboutchrist thats cool. i want to learn how to make that stuff. i have been trying to learn but personally know no one who has similar interests to me so all i have is the internet.

you made the gillie suit too? how did you make that?

  • @umidontno040394 I bought some fishnet from a hobby store and sewed it on to a old camo suit. bought some burlap blind material, striped it into bundles of strings and attached it to net. there are lots of howto videos on youtube. I would recomend synthetic gillie string. Breathing in the burlap fibers flying in the air is not good for you!!!

  • @wildaboutchrist i thought you had made it from elements of nature but, thats still cool.

  • @umidontno040394

google paleo planet and join lots of people who will be very happy to help

  • @flamefinger1989 I agree, Paleo Planet is an awsome source of info

  • Genesis 27:3 Now take, I pray thee, thy weapons, thy quiver and thy bow, and go out to the field, and take me some venison

  • Heat treated flint. 1 3/8" wide, 2 1/2" long. this is the widest head I've ever hunted with, I like to keep them about 1 1/8" to 1 1/4" wide to insure good penatration. Obsidian works great but is much more fragil. I wish I could have shown the head on film but I didn't find it till two days later. Thanks for asking.

  • great work. obsidian tip?
