This has been somewhat useful :) great info but could have been presented better like using normal speed maps to show real time micro management but yeah great stuff will try to use some of these.

a good tip for 4:30 would be to bind all 3 SCV to something and that would help you get use to switching between your different groups.

This is hell hard to do :/ I only know some hotkeys for wc3 like ALTAR HOUSE BARRACK ^^ for begin fast ^^ and use group hotkeys too ....

But I hope in SC2 they will put hotkeys like "QWE / ASD / ZXC" as in the box of 9 spaces...it would be hell easier to hotkey! ANd there should be more competitive gaming :D

The bottom right buttons are not a total waste of time.

It can be easier to click on the scv/marine button while switching through CC/Rax/Rax with your keyboard. This is a matter of preference, though.

good video, although you guys should learn ths while learning a basic build order. You'll pick up on this basic shit while learning basic strategy. Practice this ina game vs a computer (or human if you can beat a computer easiky) 2-3 times. Then go play a game with a build order in mind. Learning to do this under pressure is key.

i loved the video :D i already now the basics, but im looking forward to the dropship micro thingy, i really dont know how to do that correctly. and another basic hotkey is "space button" u can use it for whenever u are being attacked, the screen will automaticly go to that area, and the space button will also go on many other places too, like whenever u have a building complete or so :P *my english is bad lol*

thx I forgot all about the space-bar because I hardly ever use it, only because it's so slow and unreliable once you've got 6 and more production buildings with fights going on at the same time ... :-) but it's ok to use at the beginning^^

just a correction, you can macro using the icons at the bottom right.

What you do (ex: TvP) is hotkey your 4 factories to something like 4,5,6, and 7. then what you do is u use ur mouse over the icon and do 4 clik 5 clik 6 clik 7 clik and u got 4 vultures building w/o ever moving ur screen and only moving ur mouse once. imo, i think this is easier than 4v5v6v7v

yes you can, you can also play mouse only but your waisting time, because your tieing your mouse to a task while macroing using the Icons. Your mouse could be scrolling and getting ready to select units during that time and be in the center of your action screen saving you even more mouse time to react to things. If your gonna use hotkeys do it the right way and don't bother learning new bad habits that will take ages to set right again

btw ... easier is not automatically better, because that will fail on you as soon as you have more production buildings (8+) than available hotkeys. Thats when you've gotta start using your F2 F3 F4 keys and then you cant get around using all the keyboard, if you want to save time and keep the pace high! Using Icons is a bad habit.

the marine hold helped a lot. ive been playing 4 3-4 months now with D+ iccup ranking and one of the reasons i lose at times to zerg is becuz my marines would stray off to attack agro lurkers, like u demonstrated. thanks 4 the tip.
