Tom is 82, alive and worthy of pilgrimages, and as far as I know lives in Santa Cruz CA. His birthday is April 9. Let's wipe our tears on cards to send him. This must be him.

Mr. Lehrer, a college Math professor, began singing his politically incorrect songs in the late 50s. He performed at many nightclubs of the day, and had several recording sessions at them. He also recorded many of his songs in studio settings. He was tapped in the early 60s to write for a TV show called That Was the Week That Was, which took a skewed look at the news of the day each week. He wasn't thrilled with performing or travelling, and returned to teaching.

Thanksgiving wouldn't be so bad if the premise wasn't based on a historical lie.

Christmas wouldn't be so bad if the vast majority of Christians would admit that they stopped being Christian a long time ago, and that they just like Jesus.

Valentines Day is stupid, I prefer to give my girlfriend stuff whenever I feel like it, and just fuck her really good on Valentines.

Even those with devout faith may despise the commercialization of Christmas...just as Christ Himself threw over the tables in the temple, for it was not a place of praying any more. It was a bartering business, and this was despised.

First of all, "expensell"? One of two things has happened here:

1. A master wordsmith like Tom Lehrer got lazy and completed a rhyme by making up a nonsense word.

2. The poster isn't equipped to recognize the contraction "expense'll" ("expense" + "will"). Read it again that way.

On the whole, though: When your song has no video or imagery to accompany it, maybe that's the universe's way of telling you not to post it as a VIDEO.
