  • sharp car

  • @freshdougg. I remember the same article. That was a half-baked time. No way it ran that. A buddy of mine had a '65 421 (one 4-bbl) and you were probably looking at a high 15 second 1/4 mile. (stock form)

  • wasnt that year model of the car a standard?

  • Beautiful survivor, have a 1:25 scale model of it, hope it will grow one day

  • what's the name of this song?

  • I had one of the 1966 models. My even had the factory mag wheels which were the brake drums. Mine was red with a white convertble top, 2 door. The motor trend article was probably dreaming a little. My car weighted 4400 pounds and cost a dollar a pound. It was a four speed with almost every option. The car was slow getting the off the line. It was the strongest in the top end of 2nd gear and all of 3rd gear. They all smoked when maxed out. Positive linkage carbs. You miss a shift and KABOOM.

  • Torque monster! Big inch Pontiacs! I love 'em all!

  • Thank you, it is indeed a beautiful car, check out my website to see some more great cars.

  • Absolutely gorgeous car! I have a Motor Trend mag from the 60's, where they tested one of these, and 0-60 was like 3.5 seconds. I could not believe that, for a car this size! Amazing!
