The official Six Flags policy is no cameras on any rides. If you ask, even with a strap, the answer is more than likely no. Some of the more strict Six Flags parks have even banned people for taking a camera out on a ride.
Yeah some are more lenient, especially if their supervisor isn't around. If their supervisor is around though they're usually a lot more strict on everything though.
