  • "She left me for AN ALBATROSS!!!" Best Kiwi quote ever.

  • The UK's national bird is the European Robin which was classed as a thrush oddly enough. Jo deserves some points!

Also Scotland's in the Golden Eagle, which works out pretty well as they only appear in Scotland in the british isles.

  • 3:36 I love the look on Alan's face when he's told that he's right

  • I went passed The Cock Inn last friday, D: weird

  • @MrNusecus Did they have a sign Liquor in the front, Poker in the back?

  • Dunno, but the "no taste" comment and all of her buzzers indicate someone secretly despises Jo.

  • LOL its so funny for New zealanders when kiwis come up on quiz shows and noone knows about them...haha...actually no its kind of sad T.T

  • Why wouldn't you measure the bill from the tip to the corner of the mouth? The corner of the mouth has to be at the base of the bill or else it wouldn't open, so it seems like it would be a lot more reliable.

  • I don't understand the thrash joke.

  • @m9e0r22 thrush

  • @m9e0r22 ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmedhealth/PMH0001650/ I think.

  • @m9e0r22 thrush is a yeast problem in the body. Everyone can get it in the mouth but women can get it in their lady parts (one doesn't cause the other though lol)

  • Keep pressing 8 to hear Stephen orgasm

  • @ColourRiot 7777 2222 8

  • i would have drawn a kiwi fruit..

  • @RocketTWORussia Well the Kiwi's body kind of looks like the fruit...

  • How could Stephen forget Alan's name!! :O

  • @Glitzarr He didn't. It was a pun on: "Your mission Jim, should you decide to accept it" from Mission Impossible

  • @misterkami2 Oh right. XD Sorry... :')

  • " i thought the national bird for women was"

    *puts on sunglasses*

    " the swallow"

    YEAAAAAH!!!!

  • The Thrash and Cock Inn?

  • @SkrateBeastin

I think the Cock Thrash'Inn is more suitable.

  • a bird so odd that some think it to be the missing link between birds and mammals.. That is so very wrong.. I'd be wary of believing everything you hear on this show.

  • @macgyver12345678 Agreed. I caught them on the "two" moon one. Cruithne, the supposed second moon, is actually an asteroid. It's one of many that have a elongated elliptical orbit that completes every few hundred years.

  • @macgyver12345678 so, are you saying it's not an odd bird, or that some don't think it could be a missing link between birds and mammals"? Because, I think it's an odd bird, and I no doubt believe that some people think that it could be a like between birds and mammals. As people seem to believe a lot of different weird things. No where in this clip or show did they say it was a fact. so as things go then, I think they covered themselves rather well.

  • @TheDragonOfWhi No one believes that it's a missing link between birds and mammals, that doesn't make sense in the slightest. I'm not being nit-picky here, it's glaringly false, including the "some think/believe bit". Also you can't just prelude any nonsense with "some believe" and it be ok, as some crazy is bound to believe in it. On a show based on facts that would certainly become confusing.

  • @macgyver12345678 Hate to brake this to you, but you are being nit-picky. The shows called Quite Interesting, not These are Facts. And saying no-one believes that a small flightless bird that has feathers so small and refined that they almost resemble hairs is a bit of a leap. Sure no expert would believe so, but then no expert believes the earth is only 6 thousand years old. But there are certainly ejets out there that believe otherwise. So could some not the majority believe in that? likely.

  • @TheDragonOfWhi "And saying no-one believes that a small flightless bird that has feathers so small and refined that they almost resemble hairs is a bit of a leap." I never said that... A bird having feathers which resemble hairs, as you said != 'missing link between bird and mammals', which is a very specific thing. I'm well aware of the shows title, I still think what he said was misleading. I'm sure if Mr Fry knew more specifically what he was saying, he wouldn't have.

  • When I clicked on this, I had it in my mind that it would be a human nostril, and that I'd know where it was, right on the bottom of the nose.

  • Don't look so surprised Jo... 0:12

  • Left cock in, left cock out...

  • My favourite: "We did discover did we in an earlier round that birds have no taste..." Fry @ the multicoloured drawing by Jo Brand

  • I thought this one was rather obvious. Most bird's nostrils are near they base of their beaks, so why would Fry be asking if they weren't there?

  • I don't think England even has a national bird, but the French is the Cock.

  • @HojoOSanagi I think England's national bird is the robin. :). I'm not entirely sure but I think it is the robin.

  • When they start singing, it's just the most adorable moment ever)))

  • oh goodness, at first i thought they were talking about new zealanders...

  • "That's him with his shades on" just made my day. =D

  • Contrary to Alan's statement, we don't actually keep kiwi in a room in our house.... :-)

We keep them in the refridgerator....

  • What Jo says about the national bird for women? I couldn't understand it... Thank you!

  • @medea1990 She said it was "thrush" ... which, if I'm not wrong, is an oral yeast infection ...

  • @LiteraryLapse and vaginal also!

  • @LiteraryLapse Thrush is also a bird. :)

  • @buffynum1 NO! Really??? I had no idea ... especially since they were talking about national birds!

Next thing I know you'll be telling me why everyone laughed when Alan said "cock". Sheesh!

  • Alan's kiwi impression is spot on

  • I THOUGHT THEY WERE TALKING ABOUT THE FRUIT LOL

  • Missing link between mammals and birds....

    Um?

  • @Manserd It's tongue in cheek, obviously.

  • i think i may be in love with alan.

  • The liverbird!

  • Well Alan would be the one most likely to get it right, considering he actually saw one up close and personal! I find it hilarious that he drew a sun then changed his mind, crossed it out with only three strokes then drew a moon so the kiwi would look cooler. LOL

  • @viridismonasteriense And so it would be more accurate, as Kiwi's only come out at night.

  • @EpicPlaythroughs There you go: I didn't know that. Thanks for sharing the knowledge.

  • @viridismonasteriense Wait, just watched it again: Alan even says they're 'nocturnal' so that should've been my first clue. Doh.

  • @viridismonasteriense its four strokes

  • @viridismonasteriense "Well Alan would be the one most likely to get it right, considering he actually saw one up close and personal!" But how often do you look at an animals nostrils?

  • @CyanideSovereign compared to the others who haven't seen any up close, he's more likely to get it right.

  • @viridismonasteriense haha don't you mean FOUR strokes?

  • @Georgeous129 four, huh? Took me a year to see that! Thanks for pointing it out.

  • so Alan has drawn a kiwi in a Bono outfit?

  • I love how Alan said the line "imagine if your nostrils were just above your anus" very casually when choosing what to draw with.

  • The Robin is the English national bird

  • Alan's kiwi impression, lol.

  • @remebeau haha it was perfect
