@iTechNetwork This is not SATA, it's IDE. You don't need to connect the data cable for the drive to power on, you just need to connect the power cable.
Place the cd drive vertical, make it read the disc so it spins up... then take off the magnet whilst its spinning and the disc goes crazy ! (like my windows vista video)
