I know how it s called. I meant alternate picking. Lot of stuff is impossible to play with downstroke, especialy in metal. it is harder to play. Not a critisism, just a remark! It is your choice!

Yes it's harder. Easy ways for novices. James Hetfield from Metallica say: "For heavy rhythm, it has to be downpicking. Its absolutely key. Its tighter sounding, and a lot chunkier."

Practise your picking, to move up and down, not just down.

hahah, that's called downpicking. Used in metal because it makes it sound abit chunkier and harder. And to do it fast is hard. I think he can alternate pick aswell
