This is my favourite song and my Uncle was the drummer, I would love to contact the others in the band? If they see this can you mail me? Not sure as I am using my boyfriends youtube account. Charlotte Davies
@alichamberlain Just wanted to say Charlotte I hope you are very proud of your Uncle, I was at school with him & he had decided even from the age of eight he was going to be a drummer in a band. Superb musician & dearly loved by me & many others who know the years of dedication it takes to be that good! Dawnx
@nosferatudasvampir The lead singer left and he was what made the band. Sometimes when bands get success their ego's take over they fall out and someone split's!
rick astley(Stock Aitken and Waterman) was the progenitor of most of the manufactured shit we have these days. very few bands /singers these days have very little originality(i think they use (MS Hitmaker Pro)...yes i miss the 80s :(
Fashion were very underated (not by me!) its a shame that the follow up album Twilight of Idols hasn't been released on CD I still have it on tape and Vinyl.
What ever happened to the singer Dee and the synth player Mulligan? I did sadly hear that one of the band members died a few years back...
Ive ripped it to mp3 if you want a copy its legal as you have the vinyl original email me. The original lead singer has just released a new album under the fashion name, more like the original "Product Perfect" Album but worth a listen. $10 Stairway to nowhere it is called
My brother bought me a Fashion album for my 40th this year, coz I loved them but he had all their albums...now he lives abroad and thought I should have my own...ah, bless him.
super smooth band wiv cool funky choonz aswell.the remixes of their choonz r fantastic .top memories top band .good ta watch vids again the 80s gave us some great choonz it wasnt all crap.
This is brilliant. I remember getting the album Fabrique in 1982. It was excellent. It made the Top 10 in the UK. I also the the CD Height of Fashion about 5 years ago, so preserved for every! Whatever happened to them, they were original, stylish and great musicians! Luck of the draw?
omg i have been wanting to hear this again for years thanks for posting it used to be on a fantastic compilation LP from the early eigthies called Modern Dance
crazyhr41 - I've got that album! Had a purple cover with a girl's face (bloke's on the back)? A fanstastic collection of songs. It not only included this classic but also both "Sweat in Bullet" & "Love Song" by Simple Minds, "Penthouse & Pavement" & "Play To Win" by Heaven 17, "Charlotte Sometimes" by The Cure, "Europe After The Rain" by John Foxx and "She's Got Claws" by Gary Numan. My Favourite compilation album of the day. Wow! That's brought back memories :-)
maybe you can transfer the wonderful remixes as a yuletide gift wozza?.. (that`s an annual act of benevolence rejoicing the birth of our lord).... porque no jefe !
God this is going to sound like spam! You can get the Fabrique album plus a few remixes thru Amazon - I just got it - called The Height Of Fashion! Joy!!
If you check out the b side remixes on the tape cassette of Fabrique you'll find them there with a wonderful extension of "white stuff". Oh sorry - cassettes were reels of small tapes encased in plastic - for those of you in the mp3 world. lol

Indeed, this is a pretty groovy track. But I'm actually here because of my man-crush on the keyboardist, Mulligan.

My favourite tune when driving to the clubs at the weekends back then! :D
I remember a trip to Munich in '82, when their concert was advertised there - opener Kajagoogoo.
Two years later, it was the other way 'round. :-/
They should have received more popularity.
