  • This commercial was actually shot in 1986.

I was one of the actors in it (kid going down slide, etc). What they didn't show is that I think this was shot in the early spring so it was a wee bit chilly.

I think we must have gone on the log flume about 50 times :) It was actually a really fun shoot.

It's sad to hear that things have gone down hill.

  • @techiemac I remember going down the concrete water slide in the late 1970s... Hurt like crazy if you lost the mat on the way down and had to go the rest of the way without it. 1980 was the last year I was at Ontario Place. I also recall there was an outdoor rollerskating area. Rollerskating there was the first time I heard "Echo Beach" by Martha and the Muffins. :)

  • I spent many a summer there..and went to 34 concerts in one season..best times in my life..then all things change..I shook Farrah Fawcett's hand there..many good times..

  • @paulfromwisconsin what's the matter? you guys don't have anything like this in wisconsin?

  • is this commercial from the early 90s

  • it changed big time

  • @dazin87 damn right it did. Ontario bureaucrats got their mitts on it and absolutely killed the place. It was a magical place for my whole family, as we had a boat in the South Marina. It was just the best days of my life. Now it's a corporate shell for a foreign owned company that breaks laws. Bloody sellouts ruined it all. The Forum was a top venue that everybody loved. Now, it sucks.

  • @BeeRich33 Good things always come to an end. Listen you, least you HAD a boat. Some can only wish they could HAVE one instead they had to fantasize an ownership of one by getting in one of the Toronto FERRY or the KAJAMA - so how's that? Plus I think these days the punk kids would rather go to Canada's Wonderland, and smoke up than this one...don't deny it - you know it's true!

  • @billboardnumber1 maybe the two are related. Spending one's life getting stoned at Canada's Wonderland then wondering how to get a sailboat...so they don't have to do that. Heh.
