  • Hey Mart, this looks great. Aside from comwariors balancing comment which is spot on, it is my understanding that the windings need to be equally spaced. I have also noticed speed increases introducing an extra magnet to the back of bedinis and self oscillating bedinis

  • Yes spent the whole day today taking in the advice of others. 1. I have 450 winds now on top and bottom. 2. Reworked the rotor so it is not so out of balance ( I am dreaming of a machine shop :) ) 3. Reworked the circuit removed low gauge wire on the reed switch.

    4. Moved the reed switch so it pulls less power.

  • you need to balance the rotor better... your loosing a tonn of speed their alone...

  • Thank you for you insight. Yes the rotor does need improved for speed.

  • Very Nice Marthale7

I'll have to make a Newman motor one of these days.

  • It looks pretty, but I want it to run better :) Thanks!

  • I built a crude Newman awhile ago but just used a brush/commutator arrangement. I may have to put Daftman's circuit on it and see what happens.

  • i would like to get this to run as well as Hendo's ... The reed switch on this was the hardest part.
