Great effort......You never hear this song performed live. The vocals aren't in the spirit of the original song which kind of ruined it. No offense but he sounds gay at times. "Named him after a man of the cloth"....Put some feeling into it son!

Great job! I was raised in Thibodaux (Tib-u-doe), Louisiana. I think I was in the 3rd grade when this song hit - EVERYONE had the 45 record and my teacher played it everyday in class. Brings back memories!
