  • I haven't watched GH in years, and I was trying to find out about some of the cast members that I remembered, so I ended up watching this, and I must say that Felicia did a great job and Maxie was OUTSTANDING!!! After all this time away, they had me crying...sniff sniff.

  • Damn I'm crying more now than I did all those years ago when this first aired. This had to be one of the best stories GH has ever done. That kid was amazing.

  • I have never seen this storyline and I'm in tears.

  • Such great acting by one so young!! I'm impressed by the genuine emotion displayed by Robyn Richards.

  • @moneekababy63 Robyn Richards is an excellent actress. I hated when they recast her.

  • love it when maxie says u have to be a penguin

  • omg Crying here

  • Felicia did a great job explaining BJ's death to Maxie

  • I haven't even watched the show at that time (I was 3 when this storyline was out) and I decided to watch it...Oh my goodness, I started to cry so much. :( No soap has made me cry like this in a while.

  • That is Robyn Richard's, they fired her in 2004 I believe . . .

  • Back when the writers wrote Felicia as a good mother, too.

  • @brinpol THINKING THE SAME THING.

  • 1993 to 2000...the Golden Years of GH...for me, anyway.

  • Is that Robyn Richards playing maxie?

  • @gatorkati yes, wasn't she just a fabulous little actress in this scene?

  • i have not seen that in years. i am sitting in the middle of the library crying my eyes out.

  • this is where its at!!! back when storylines tied together and were gripping and made you cry and feel as it was your own.... excellent job that little girl did...

  • This is why the Jake storyline will never touch this one. Josslynn has no tie to Jake, she'll never care like Maxie did when her best friend died to give her a life that she wouldn't have had with out it!

  • @AMCfan2007 you've definately got a point...none of the new storylines are nearly this good...but i think it will still mean a lot..since it was jason's son saving carly's daughter after all they had been through together...but since Jake and Josslynn were both so young the only way it will really mean anything is if they bring it up when Josslynn is older...i hope they do.

  • @herhazeleyescry4u Its not nearly the same, not even close. There was no build up or fall out with Jake and Josslynn, it happened in like a day and then it was over. We saw Maxie sick for months and just when u thought she wasnt going to make it, BJ dies. The fall out lasted for years to come. It was heartbreaking! Remember Maxie and BJ were cousins who grew up together the viewers saw and knew their relationship, and Frisco, Felicial Bobbie and Tony were family who loved each other.

  • @lpressman321 i absolutely agree with you..i know they do not compare at all in their intensity...i simply meant that i hope one day they make the jake/josslynn storyline mean something...i wasnt old enough at the time of the maxie/BJ storyline to remember any of it(im 17) but from the few videos ive watched i can see what a heartbreaking storyline it was and i truely believe that it was by far the best storyline GH has ever and probably will ever do.

  • @lpressman321 I was 14 when this aired, and it was unbelivable. Best story ever in GH History. Remember there were no spoilers back then, so u had no idea what was going to happen. No one saw the BJ thing coming and it was shocking!! I remember being such a mess from this storyline I took a day off from school!! I agree would be nice it the j/j storlyine had more to it, but the relationships between the characters other then jason and carly just arent strong enough, so the impact differs greatly

  • @lpressman321 I remember being furious with the writers! How could they kill a child in a school bus accident. I was absolutely fuming. Years later, it is so touching and it still means something when Maxie says something about BJ. It was so well done. I applaud them now. Couldn't take the heartbreak at the time. It was so raw. Major cliffhanger twist with it all.

  • I managed to hold it together until she asked if she remembered to say thank you. Then I burst into tears.

  • OMG!!!!! This really made me cry! I expected it to get to me, but not THIS much! Amazing how much she understood of what happened.

  • Oh Maxie made me cry! :( Thank you pxlbarrel for putting this up!

  • This scene is so touching. I'm crying. The little girl who played Maxie then is a very good actress.

  • wow that would freak me out at that age!! an adult person would have hard enough time with it.

  • What happened to this GH.........great stories which include everyone ...........not the crap we have now

  • @POOCHIE129 well said!

  • @POOCHIE129 The sad thing is that it is worse than when you said this a year ago.

  • Whoever said Felicia wasn't a good mom, should watch this clip! This is what makes a good mother!

  • @wuteva4eva456 Yup!! Felicia was ALWAYs a GREAT mother, just because Kristina Wagner decided to leave GH didnt mean the writers had to trash her! I hate them for what they did to her!!

  • OMG how I wish GH was this good again! All this mob crap they have nowadays in insulting and a slap in the face to longtime GH fans. Thanks a lot Bob Guza!

  • how a child that young can make herself cry on command and act so convincingly is really amazing. Most child actors just fill space.

  • This scene just proves to me that Robyn Richards is the best Maxie ever.

  • @GirlNext111 they need to bring her back! don't get why they ever got rid of her.

  • This is one of the saddest scenes on television. And that cutie-pie does this scene better than most veteran actors!

  • Maxie was such a wonderful little girl. I hate what they did to her when she grew up.

  • felicia was horrible @ telling her wat happened, im sry. u dont say tht "oh, she already left. she went to heaven." but i guess there's no easy way 2 say it. who's kevin?

  • @Puzzsta you're an idiot, obviously you know nothing about children and grief, they understand a lot more than people give them credit for. Google the storyline and stfu until you know more about the storyline dumbass.

  • @Puzzsta kevin is the guy sitting next to felicia and there really isnt an easy way to tell someone a loved1 dead no matter how old the person is.i was 13 1/2 ( 5 yrsago) when my cousin died and it was just as hard hearing it as it was telling. talking / explaining death is hard no matter how old the child your explaining it 2 is and there really is no easy way2 do it the fact that felicia was able to do it with outconfuesing the child or lieing2 her makes falicia a good mother in this scene.

  • WAAAAAAAA! That lil kid made me cry!

  • maxie is so cute and it was so sadd wen she started to cry

  • wow wat a powerful scene and i can understand her pain its never fun to lose some one you love

  • the part where Maxi says "did I remember to say thank you to her" gets me.

  • When Maxie said "she didn't say goodbye to me" I started balling :'(

  • The writing on this show in the '90's was the best in daytime. GH was amazing back then. Watching these clips just makes me so sad, all the great history of this show is being eroded...

  • That moment when Maxie teared up and scrunched up her face...that killed me.

  • That scene could not have been done any better.. the acting, writing all of it! This is why i used to lovee GH! Cant even stomach it now!

  • Haven't cried like that in a long time! Probably since I saw this scene back then. "Did I remember to say thank you?" WOW. Thanks for posting.

  • Wow...What a scene...It was so touching... the little girl made me cry... That was beautfiul and then about BJ not saying goodbye, and whether she said thank you...incredible acting

  • oh man... seeing that made me sad that maxie turned around to do such bad things in her life... she was such a precious little girl

  • @Natgirl00 well atleast hr act is clean now

  • minus a little infidelity on spinellli. but she is much better now. i really like the maxi now, and unfortunately i understand this infidelity he is delicious

  • this maxie was so adorable and she had great acting skill considering how young she was.

  • the moment when she ask if she remembered to say thank you unleashed my floodgates cause it is truly rare to see such honest acting

  • Wow I remember this so well, this was soooooooo sad

  • Did I say thank you to her...... aww.

  • I haven't seen these scenes in years and it still breaks my heart.

  • the parts that made me cry the most were when she asked whwen she was coming back and when she said they did not say goodbye to each other

  • that is so heartbreaking.

  • Wow. I had never seen this before. GH truly set the standard for great daytime TV. I wish they were all still as wonderful as GH was in the 90s.

  • They still are. This decade alone they've won 4 Outstanding Daytime Drama Emmys in 7 nominations. The best soap opera ever, according to TV Guide, just keeps rolling along.

  • Well...it's debatable whether or not the stories are as good as they were in the 80's or 90's. I don't think they are...and many agree with me. The state of all Daytime tv (ABC, NBC or CBS) is not as good as it used to be. So... the fact that GH is being nominated or winning is relative to the state of otehr daytime dramas....and they're all struggling to create the stories that can compete with the past.

  • @TheLuscious they where but are no longer not even close

  • beautiful

  • I bawled my eyes out when BJ died!!!!

  • wow. i just cried.

  • I agree! This little girl is a great actress! So sad!

  • Oh my gosh, little Maxie did an amazing job. This scene was so real and sooooo sad.

  • Wow, that was heartbreaking...

  • aw that was so sad

  • OMG! This storyline was amazing.. I was a teenager when this happened..

  • wow I forgot how amazing this storyline was. they should've had the orginal maxie come back and play bj today that way kirsten wouldn't have had to play both roles and it would've been more authentic

  • yeah, they really should have brought back the original,it would have been so much better that way. It took me a long time to get use to the maxi they have now,I miss the old one.

  • That was sad.....sitting here crying.

  • this is extremly sad

  • wow this made me cry

  • OMG-- I remember this! So crazy. I had forgotten all about Kevin. lol.

  • today,Maxie dreams about her death instead of BJ dying. the writers did a fabulous job with this storyline, remembering BJ dying and letting Maxie know what would have happened if Maxie died instead. it made me cry. the whole show was about BJ and Maxie

  • I miss Robyn Richards, she really was a great little actress. I don't watch GH anymore but my mom does so I see the occasional scene. The mob crap makes me yawn.

  • on febuary 24 maxie has a dream that bj never died and that maxie died in the end she goes to bjs grave and dicides to nevr do anything stupid ever again will this be the turning poin 4 maxie and spinnelli?

  • I thought this was the most heart wrenching

    of all storylines!

And did u know this Maxie played the part well in2 her teens, then Kirsten Storms replaced her?

  • Aaw, this was so sweet. I wasn't even watching GH during this storyline but I can see how it would make those who did see it emotional everytime.

  • the line "did I remember to say thank you" KILLS me every single time. I remember sitting my the kitchen with my mom and sister watching this when it aired and the three of us were just sobbing messes.

  • i was just born so i didnt ever watch this yet

  • that is the saddest thing i've seen since lucky got "killed" in the fire....

  • Wow, break my heart. What a little actress! I've never seen this I was only 12 and hadn't discovered GH yet. Thanks for sharing!!

  • actually i was born till the 26th so i still wasnt born

  • GAAAWD this scene killed me the first time I watched it, that little girl was phenomenal!

  • What a great little actress. She had me in tears.

  • Aw poor maxie she had me in tears

  • I was crying, I loved this, great storyline

  • Good Storyline

  • Are you kidding me with this? She is incredible in this scene.

  • In this scene, Robyn had more depth and emotion than many of the current GH actors...I forgot I was watching a child!!

  • OMG Robyn was adorable!!!!!!!!!!! She had me in tears!!!!!!! This was GH was REAL stuff that actually meant something to the viewers instead of some russian mob coming to PC!

  • wow i've never seen this before. so heartbreaking. thank you so much for posting

  • wow i've never seen this before. gosh, Robyn is amazing in this scene, she was such a great young actress. She made me cry. thanks for posting!

  • Thanks for posting, I was looking for this scene.

  • Oh my God! Thanks for that great video! I was almost crying when little Maxie was crying, asking if she remembered to thank BJ for her heart. That clip was absolutely adorible! Will you be adding the whole BJ dies storyline? If so, I look forward to that. If not, I look forward to your amazing videos of the Quartermaines! Keep up the good work!

  • I agree, would love to see the whole BJ death storyline sometime - such fantastic acting all around in that sl. Someone had it posted on YT awhile back, (can't remember who, sorry), and it was so great to see it again. Pxlbarrel, I have been watching your Classic GH clips for over a year now, (two years?), and am just so grateful to you for doing them. You ROCK!! :)

  • Thanks. As you say, somebody posted BJ's storyline on YT already. I'm hoping it's still around. I won't be starting my next YT project until Christmas holidays or around then. Will see about little clips and maybe even my second attempt at a mvid before tackling another big storyline. LOL

  • We will appreciate anything you give us :)

  • I am crying and shaking. I had forgotten how good the story lines were. I miss Felicia and Frisco. I miss Tiffany, Sean, Blacky, Robert and Ana!

  • omg i don't ever remember seeing this scene it made me cry thinking about the whole bj storyline which makes me cry everytime i rewatch it on youtube

  • Thank you for leting me see the old GH!!!

WE need this kind of storylines!!!!

  • I miss that Maxie. Thanks so much for posting. GH was so good then.

  • Ah, man, that was heart-breaking. I hadn't seen that scene since it first aired and it made me cry all over again. That little actress did a great job. I forget sometimes how much I cried over GH. Dominique in 1993, B.J. in 1994, Stone in 1995. Now I couldn't care less.

  • I'm actually quite impressed that that little girl could do such a heart wrenching scene. Very impressive indeed.

  • I agree, that was Robyn Richards, the third Maxie in the role but the one to really be identified as Maxie. And while KS is a good actress it was sad when the show fired RR in 2004-longtime viewers watched her grow up on screen.
