this is what's lacking in today's music... diversity. i was an elementary school student when this song came out, but i remember it very well... and for the record, i am a middle-aged (51 soon to be 52) BLACK man originally from brooklyn, ny who grew up in a neighborhood in transition. but on stations like WABC or WINS or WMCA et. al. , there was no musical segregation like today. you heard a rock'n'roller, followed by a folkie, followed by a country artist, etc. such a great time back then...
Magnificent. The voices are perfect and they capture the spirit of the age like few others.....and without showing clevage and the bottom of your arse cheeks...
