  • If you love Biggie Smalls, you best Love Heavy D. Rest Easy Heavy D.

  • Classic old skool joints like this make a brother smile real big. If you didn't grow up on this stuff...you can listen, you can like it, but you can never know the feeling songs like this gave us back then. MC's going for broke, DJ cutting wax like ax murderers, bboys breaking like their lives depended on it and graf artists showcasing that gritty grimy Wild Style that completes the scene. You had to be there.

  • RIP Heavy ... We miss you and your music

  • Video Music Box brought me here!

  • My dad bought me a cassette tape with this song and Salt N Pepa's "I'll Take Your Man" back in the 80's. I don't remember the other songs on the tape but it was a rap compilation.

  • Who else remembers when Coca-Cola jeans were hot?

  • some of those females.....Lord Help me!

  • Skinny dude in the black hat doin' the wop....is that Chris Rock?

  • @scatman44 , He's one of the cats from Grove B Chill.

  • @scatman44 That's Darryl "Chill" Mitchell. He was in the early 90's rap group Groove B. Chill and also was in the first "House Party" movie. He went on to have a successful acting and comedic career. He was in a motorcycle accident that left him paralyzed from the waist down.

  • Classic!!!

  • peace hev.kept it real!

  • When did the first House Party come out..around this time?

  • Twenty-one people weren't surrounded by ghostly back-up singers.

  • im suprised this video isnt in the millions

  • @sniop33 Give it time. You know people don't appreciate good music until the artist dies, unfortunately. Then again, some of his other vids are in the millions. So I guess we can take solace in THAT at least. Although I bet a lot of THOSE didn't get hits until he died either. That's why I put the "Heavy D Tribute" show we did as a response to this. Let people know what they were missin, even if they DON'T like this song.

  • Probably my favorite Heavy D Video...even my mom's liked it! :)

  • Heavy D had skill. Simple as that. His Boys were dope as well. Simplicity and conveying a message are things that are overlooked in today's media.

  • OMG! This brings back so many memories lol. RIP Heavy

  • 19 Idiots that will NEVER understand!!!

  • R.I.P HEAVY D

  • The Wop!!! That was my dance!

  • this is the first heavy.d joint i ever heard in 86, and at that time it smashed everything that was about at that time, and still does. a lot of people get rosey specs when they recall the sadly departed, and exagerate their contribution to hip hop, but Heavy D is definately the exception to the rule because he really is that good and his material is as punchy and fresh as if it just rolled off the press today. new school idiots take note, THIS is how you become a legend. RIP King Heavy.D peace.

  • @mrisor892 1986 is rite i was in 8th grade when i heard this and my first concert that i went to was a heavy d concert he iz a legend for sure i remember him dancing his ass off on stage its funny because i was in the third row and you could see him very good it was moving to see him get down like that big lez was one the dancers on stage with him and wow she iz thick azz hell but anyway RIP HEAVY one luv

Heavy D & thanx for showing this chunky boy a few dance moves back in the day.

  • Great!

  • 18 people lack brain stems.

  • @FrankBishop2 REALLY MAN? brain stems? You probably don't like Slayer's talent....this shit is pretty fucking gay man.

  • @red1ne - I actually do but the fact that you had to use profanity and a homophobic derogatory term to get your point across lessens your argument...if it can even be called that.
