hey i contacted my nearest police explorer post arlington,va.... they said they werent accepting... how do i find a border patrol post ? id rather be doing something more FEDERAL like ice i find it more interesting then being a cop

@paliomz The only thing you will be able to do in the "more involved" Federal Departments would be more like an intern. I.C.E. is federally mandated, but operated by local PD's LEO's. As a start, see if the the FBI Internship Program are accepting applications. Note, they have requirements. Unfortunately, due to the level of Intelligence in Federal Departments, some do not offer Explorers. CBP has a POE or Port of Entry location in VA. Google keywords; "CBP law enforcement explorers in VA".

@paliomz Oh, and another thing. I am a LEO and I started out as a police explorer for a local city. Then I moved up to County where I became the Lt. of Explorers. I then started college and participated in the Reserve Program. Finally, I graduated and became a cop. Build your credintials as a kid, stay out of trouble, and always tell the truth. Police especially like when an explorer is honest.
